Agree with you on potash, not enough conviction to short though but enough to realize that it’s running low enough on steam to be done with it… I took the profits after a minor 5% gain at the end of last week, which is plenty for me in this market and more of a hedge for SMN anyways. Did that while also going long CF to maintain a little minor hedge. Now recently I took CF off the table as well with also roughly a 5% gain… Today didn’t neccesarily confirm that the market will continue downward, but it gives me more conviction that it will remain downward for another week.
I’ll look to lighten up on the short side sometime this week, begining the process of moving neutral, and then we’ll see from there.

Looks like selling FSLR and buying TSL is already paying off for you… wow look at that go. It always amazes me how solars can move so much when market is flat.
I prefer oil stocks on a pullback rather than a breakout, but must admit RIG looks very nice,

I consider myself a good trader who can make a good call and ride it out every now and then, using swaps to keep me in my winners long enough. But IBC’s making them look insignificant and making me go practically unoticed. Can’t help but love IBC.

I made a post suggesting that POT was a better long than short and explained my reasoning. Now it’s gone. Oh well, my apologies.
But I agree with the others above that POT would be a dangerous short.
never saw it. Now that i know POT reports next week, I no longer want to be short, will look to sell my puts tomorrow.

Earnings should be only one factor for not shorting this stock at the moment. The other factor is the stock breaks out of the big wedge formation on the upside. RC, I am going to hijack this thread to add to my personal study.
