Market acts like it closed early for the day. I’m having a hard time finding anything I want to buy either, so I am a little more focused towards existing positions and managing them into expiration week next week.
Gun to the head there is one more dip left to buy, but the Russell has already bottomed.
I like $GRUB, $TXTR, and trying to find a bank since my $MS left without me.

Call me crazy, but I think there is another dip in the RUT between now and the Fed. Hope the Rut pushes higher into the close as I’m nibbling on TZA Not giving much room with my stop though.

$SRPT maybe, possibly $NLDS shares, But you’re right, the only bank that looks any good is $BAC, with honorable mention to $FULT, and $SUSQ (which is chasing up a bit, but otherwise looks great to me).

Thanks UB! I had a few theories on seasonality, but they started with “I think”, and “you’d expect”…. I like you “facts based” approach slightly better. So I will keep that leash nice and tight. I took off my $BNS short a couple days ago and wanted to add something to balance out my exposure, so I jumped in quicker than I probably should have.

Fundamentally speaking, regional banks are going to outperform the big money centers. They have cleaner balance sheets on average than the big banks and more opportunity for growth into a rising rate environment. The dividend yield isn’t bad either if you want shares.
Agree on $KEY. I took a look at a few different ideas in the space last night and it looks fundamentally the most balanced, plus that volume pocket is enticing.

Link to some interesting charts. $PG has some good volume support at this spot. $CNI looks like a fake a move to make a move if they can figure out something other than oil for those rail cars. $ITUB looks quite interesting if you are comfortable with Brazil (though may have broken down this morning). BIFFER, read an article from optionpit.com that in that last few days the entire Vix contango curve has been increasing together. Thus you are not seeing the expected spikes in short dated Vix and the contango slope stays the same albeit at higher level. What that means? Short term sell front months for trade with tight stops. However longer dated puts getting more expensive.
