The urge to start off the week with a little razzing of those ‘well-intentioned’ yet meddlesome liberals could not be resisted, so sorry.

I find Tombstone and especially Val Kilmer’s ‘Doc Holliday’ eminently quotable. Quality movie, imo.

17th is next game. 7:00 p.m. Let me know, it is here in my neighborhood. We usually have 15-18 guys show up, so the pot gets rather large.

You play tourney or cash-game? I’m guessing $20 buy-in tourney then side games start up as people go out?
DMG, $20 min, $40 max buy in.
Every 3 months we have a “cup night” where we compete for a cheesy trophy that the winner gets to keep until the next cup night. On that night, minimum is $30.
Everyone starts at the same time, usually 3 different tables, blinds raised all the same, until we get to the winner’s table. At 11:00 p.m., the final 3 hands get played, and winnings are divided appropriately. By that point, we are usually down to 2-3 people.
I miss Jake already.
Anderson Silva’s fight this weekend was redonkulous. That fucker could have beaten Forrest Griffin and Kenny Florian at the same time while carrying BJ Penn on his back. UFC’s greatest.

Case in point: The Clean Energy Summit 2.0 that is going on in Vegas today. Let’s hope that that awful commercial tagline, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” holds true to that little braintrust.
