I saw a similar commercial that weekend when the world knew AIG would need to be bailed come Monday. An even more egregious commercial; the outro was – “AIG, financially sound. We’ll be there for you.”
Was watching the Chelsea – Man.United (shirt sponsor: AIG) this morning…
With United leading 1-0 the (usually very business-like) announcers quipped that the team was doing better than their sponsors. Not long after, United proceeded to relinquish their lead. Oh, sweet irony.
