Everybody Wants to be Big and Strong…

But no one wants to lift some heavy ass weight, BUT I DO IT!!!!

There was chalk on the camera lens, so it’s kind of fuzzy, I promise better quality next time.

“Rack Deadlifts, off of the first pin, with reverse bands, max weight 120lbs, thus,  at least 645lbs at the bottom, and 765lbs at the top.”

Full Disclosure: I am not on any steroids, only brand name protein, creatine, etc. I swear on my life.

Okay, so what the fuck am I doing here? I am working on the transition from the lower posterior chain pulling the weight, to the upper posterior chain pulling the weight and thus pushing with the lower half. I know you haters are saying “well that’s not a full deadlift and you’ve got bands on there.”

1. You’re right it’s not a full lift. But, if you tell somebody to go throw a jab, right, left hook, leg kick, all at once, that doesn’t work. Sometimes I do “deficit” deadlifts, where I step on a platform that is almost the height of the bar, thus making the range of motion extra. Sometimes I only try to pull the weight to the top of my shins. The same way you drill the jab, over, and over, and over, and over. This makes a complete lift when you need it.

2. The bands are 60lbs a piece at their max. They are about 60-75% extended at the bottom. Let’s just say they are at their max, that would be 645lbs at the bottom. So now, if it was maxed out, could you even move that? With nothing but chalk, no wraps? Also, once it clears your knees the bands go almost slack. It’s the full weight at the top.

I will try to not only do my max effort days, but my speed days as well. I think I look pretty healthy for 270lbs.

This is 675lbs I did the set before. This is for my bros Chess and Gap. Wait till the end $LULU.

  1. Nice, and good quote that’s from coleman’s old DVD haha. I remember watching that long time ago those idiots put out dvd’s are the worst. He had that little texan guy who would slap him to get him amped up like he needed it. LIGHT WEIGHT

  2. Nice dead lift. I’m mostly impressed with your grip strength! No lifting straps!! And good calves for a guy your height…

    • My lower half is actually bigger than my upper. Always been “bottom heavy.” I still think I am growing into my upper body.

  3. i could take you bro.

    but seriously… ridic.

    • Doesn’t mean you couldn’t hit me with an overhand right. @TheDrBigBoss could def knock me out and he is much smaller, he did go train kickboxing with monks in China…

  4. As Ronnie would say “Ain’t nothin’ but a peanut”…well done Rhino. But really more impressive would have been if you deadlifted the weight then got under it and did a floor press…just kidding bro don’t crush me!

    • HAHAHA thanks man, much appreciated. Everyone’s gotta be good at somethin right? “woooooo lightweight baby wooooo”

  5. What's a short?

My bad about the lens, I was all lightheaded from doing baby versions of these. YEAA BUDDY!
