The S&P 500 continues to chop between 1,115 – 1,085. Until we break one way, I will continue to be quick with my trades– unless, of course, it’s Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. [[GMCR]] , then I’m in it to win it (sorry Jake, but I see big potential here)
I flipped out of my [[GSI]] swing this morning, and added spec play Synthesis Energy Systems, Inc. [[SYMX]] . I also followed Henry in [[ENTR]] , and want to give him a shout out for his picks this week, he has been on fyah!
Where is Chuck? I demand he post more on this site! His InterOil Corporation (USA) [[IOC]] has been a rocket ship, and I’m feeling his spec play IBGH. Chuck, if you read this, they are finally starting to distribute DRANK down here in Louisiana. Had one the other day, taste was good, but I felt like I took a Tylenol PM, had me straight chillin’

Here are a few things I am watching:
Steel & aluminum stocks were strong today. Watch for a continued move in names like United States Steel Corporation [[X]] , Century Aluminum Company [[CENX]] , [[GSI]] & Steel Dynamics, Inc. [[STLD]]
(Watch for a breakout above $18.48)
Don’t forget the dollar plays, they’re back! At least for the remainder of the month. Right now I am heavy in Rentech, Inc. [[RTK]] , & stalking Synthesis Energy Systems, Inc. [[SYMX]]
(I’m a buyer on strength)
Cloud computing is huge, and the possibilities are endless! Names like [[RAX]] can catch serious momo, and may still double from current levels.

If natty makes a run, I’m looking for a further breakout in Rex Energy Corporation [[REXX]]

(a move above the 50 day moving average would secure a BTFO)

Also, watch for contuned moves in education stocks. Career Education Corp. [[CECO]] jumped in The PPT and is now the 2nd ranked stock inside the matrix. ITT Educational Services, Inc. [[ESI]] , [[LOPE]] , Capella Education Company [[CPLA]] , DeVry Inc. [[DV]] & Apollo Group, Inc. [[APOL]] all had nice jumps in ther hybrid scores.
Comments »GSI: New Swing
[[GSI]] reminds me of the Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) [[YGE]] chart we nailed a few weeks back. The stock broke out of its triangle pattern on December 2nd, and has recently pulled back to support. The stock also has great moving average support with all the majors right below price.
Add another one to the win column, this one is going higher.
Closing The YGE Trade
Solar has been smoking the past few days, and most of the names are up today in a down market. However, today I am taking more profits in the group by selling Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) [[YGE]] @ 16.25.
Congrats to all the gentlemen that bought the dip as noted here
YGE is at a key resistance level, and I believe not worth the risk to hold here. Should the stock trade back above $16.35, I will look to add again:

Seasonally, it is time for Natural Gas to run. The commodity has done absolutely nothing this year, and I’m sensing a spark may ignite a fire.
One of my favorites plays right here is Chart Addict’s stock of the year Stone Energy Corporation [[SGY]] , I like the idea of buying support, easy exit point if you are wrong:
Not sure how levered InterOil Corporation (USA) [[IOC]] is to Natural Gas, but does Chuck’s stock of the year ever go down? This one could go parabolic on strength:
Feel free to chime in with ideas, I think Natural Gas has some room to run.
