No Sun for Solar

I will be watching for further weakness in solar names. Many are near breakdown levels, and should be shorted in a weak market. Here are my favorites:

Gio’s short in Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) [[YGE]] looks awesome, a break below the 200 day would be extremely bearish:

First Solar, Inc. [[FSLR]] is dying a slow death:

fslr

Canadian Solar Inc. [[CSIQ]] Watch for a move below the 100 day moving average:

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. [[LDK]] is going lower:

Mo-Mo Shorts

The PPT has saved me from jumping head first into the market. The overall Hybrid score tells it all, buy in the low 2.20’s, sell in the low 3’s. Looking at the S&P 500’s chart along with the Hybrid score, it looks like we still have some room to go on the downside.

Here is one of my favorite custom screens located inside The PPT, called Mo-mo Shorts (PPT members click here and save custom screen)

Get Ready For The Bounce

Here are a few stocks to watch on overall market strength. All are near support levels and should bounce with the market. With that being said, should support fail on market weakness, these same stocks could be great short opportunities.

STEC, Inc. [[STEC]] sitting on 50 day moving average

stec1

Las Vegas Sands Corp. [[LVS]] Sitting on support

lvs1

MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. [[WFR]] Sitting on 50 day

Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) [[YGE]]

“Epic Win”

There will be nothing in the sports arena that will top the night I had last night, NOTHING. This game was bigger than the Superbowl, THIS GAME WAS EPIC! The fans were loud, the Superdome was rockin’, and there was a party in Louisiana like none other (And, I’ve seen some parties).

Words cannot describe the night, so I will not try! The clip below brings tears to my eyes, literately.

Now somebody find me a ticket to the Superbowl, seriously.

This one moment in time, has made up for every loss I’ve witnessed as a Saints fan.

Note: Take note of the noise from the crowd after the kick was made. There was an eruption inside the Superdome of volcanic proportions that nearly blew the roof off the building. Epic Indeud!

Who Dat?!

It’s hard for me to concentrate on anything related to stocks as I am preparing to make another trip down to New Orleans to witness The NFC Championship with iBC brother Jeremy. This will truly be an epic event, as it is the first time the Saints have hosted a championship game. The Dome will be loud, the fans will be nuts, this is pretty much the Superbowl for New Orleans.

I remember growing up near the Superdome, pops and I would head to the game every week as people would hand us tickets, because nobody wanted to see the ‘Aints play. I was just happy to be inside the Superdome and be a part of the atmosphere, win or lose. I have many fond memories as a youngster and to see them finally have a chance for the bowl playing at home is a dream come true.
