Hey RC,
Just a general question, when you see a breakout, I know obviously the price has broken a certain price level, but when trying to look at the volume, do you go down to the 5, 20, 30 min chart to look for volume to accompany the breakout? If you look on the daily, you don’t really see volume come in till after the fact so I am just wondering how you identify breakouts right away when they happen with high probability.

I watch the 5 min charts for volume bars, initially. Then, look to the daily to confirm volume. Day trades, I typically just look at the volume bars on the 5 min charts.

A measured move puts this thing near $9, will I wait for that? probably not. My near term target is $5.75.
However, on a weak close, I will toss it out.
I picked up CHOP @ 5.55. It’s my 2010 pick of the year so I am in that one for the long haul.
