History was made this weekend as all #1 seeds made the Final Four. I hope you were all glued to your televizzles, as UNC, UCLA, & Memphis made quick & boring work of their opponents.
At least there was Davidson & Stephen Curry, who almost knocked of Kansas and Bill “I-choke-in-the-Elite-Eight-no-more” Self. It took “only” about 4 Kansas guards to finally stop Curry. Now he claims that he’s returning to Davidson next year…but I’m thinking he might cash in nicely in the NBA.
Congratulations to ‘client #1’ for unimaginatively(/correctly) picking all #1’s for his Final Four. Or perhaps he just took a ride in some sort of time machine.
However, he is not yet a shoe-in for the big prize, as the current top 4 all have different winners (correctly picking the overall winner is worth 32 points, while picking each finalist correctly is worth 16):

“Boringly?”
Did you watch the games? Freaking Kansas escaped with it’s life against a Davidson team that looked like it had sold it’s collective soul to the Debil, the way they were shooting so lights out.
The Lou/North Carolina game may go down as the best in the tournament.
Of course, I’m biased.
I noted Kansas as the exception.
Louisville made it interesting…but I always had the feeling that UNC will put them away. Hard to explain, but even when the game was tied, I never thought the Tar Heels’ victory was under threat. Thus, it was boring to me.
UNC – UCLA in the final is my new/revised prediction. (I had Kansas in there originally.)
