The market is meandering all day, so I’ve been out eating samitches (sic) and picking mushrooms. Looks like our precious metal pullback is continuing as expected. I hope you are taking your time, but picking up some of the Jacksons you have perhaps neglected in weeks passed.
[[SLW]] in particular looks tasty here, having filled that gap and then some at $10.04. It’s now proceeding to fill the gap it created this morning at $10.29. Someday, you will revel in these prices.From the picks I went over on the weekend, you’ve had opportunities to buy all of them cheaper than Friday’s close, but most have gained back a lot of what they lost this morning (recognizing that [[ARTC]] hadn’t lost anything). [[TIE]] continues to look like it wants more here, as does Fly’s favorite [[TRID]].
I really hope you took care of the “Devil Dawg Special” in [[SPAR]] this morning, as that perfect contra-indicator gave it his very special “Great Short” blessing, ensuring that it will continue making your grandchildren millions even when you are moldering in your platinum encrusted marble and jade pineapple coffin.
Seriously, it’s not often one gets blessed with a “reverse Devil Dawg.” Don’t let this opportunity pass you by unattended.

I’m not really sure if this is going to be that extensive a pullback in gold. It was only off about a buck twenty today, in the end.
Silver I should’ve hedged, but didn’t. Especially the AGQ. Just dropped the ball there — I have to remember it’s a double ETF.
That said, I wanted to buy more, and will at the above price, should I get it tomorrow.

Hi Jake – wanted to thank you profoundly for your writing – I’ve done very well with my attention to your blog. Thought I’d mention something that’s been working well for me – no basis as I’m merely a serious novice so appologies if it’s painfully obvious. With a mind to accumulating PM’s, among other picks for some months I’ve been buying AGQ et al. on dips, then selling some off during strength to buy biotech. Much of those profits I funnel back into oil / commodities. This informal approach has been very good to me for the last few months – I’m up a shocking amount since the March lows, and have a nice low cost basis on my holdings.

THat’s a good strategy on AGQ since it’s a double ETF… I took my eye off the ball the other day and should have sold the calls at least, at $56. Ah well, I’ll be getting more in any case.
Be careful on the earls. I am shaving back what little I have left, and being opportunistic with ERX and DXO.
