Four Years After the Flash Crash…

Crowd After Stock Market Crash

…I am reminded of a similar “diamond” topping pattern on the SPY, outline below on the daily chart, which occurred before the May 6th, 2010 Flash Crash.

I am not predicting another Flash Crash, but I do remain very cautious given the price action in the leaders. In addition, the action in TWTR is not exactly thriving risk appetite.

    The tells for me today were DATA and CRTO – darlings of last year which crushed earnings and guided up. Doesn’t bode well for the NASDAQ or really any other risky asset.
