Inside 12631 just now, I sold a piece of my TMV (triple-levered short bond ETF) in the face of today’s bond market sell-off.
TLT (ETF for bonds) is back to its 50-day moving average (darker blue line on my chart, below) and I suspect bulls may try to put up a fight next week.
Overall, though, I am still playing for the bond bear to resume sometime soon, with a stop above recent rally highs.

Staring at the red and missed PANW

Well played, Chess.
A lesson to be learned maybe: 12631 member suggested silver AG a little while back. I compared it’s relative strength to SSRI (from Rajin’s screens) and my own holding SVM. I said AG looked more similar to SVM (it was a bit stronger) but SSRI looked much stronger. Let’s say it was a month ago (I’m not sure) – to compare relative performance:
SSRI +35%
AG +9%
SVM -10%
If you bought SSRI three months ago, you’d be up 80% and have out performed SVM by 85%.
Thanks, mateo
Oh, forgot to add, snaps!
Hey Chess, thoughts on natty into the bell?
To my eye buyers in UNG continue to support from ~24.70 lately and headlines seem to favor higher prices.
stuck in a tight range here, charlie, I’m neutral
Things on my mind:
– VNM nice retest weekly breakout. watching India too.
– I wanna buy the heck out of EWZ. now? Not feeling it but hate regret and it be for the long-haul…
– sometimes hunches bleed me good (EMAN mentioned yesterday. sorry.)
– I want some more fertilizer. now?
– blackrock bought into NURO. why haven’t I? Come on, shocking diabetic feet, there’s gotta be money in that!
– Probably can’t buy ANAC here, but FDA gave go ahead for phaze3 eczema. results have been excellent and nothing else out there for the 15-30% kids affected. word.
– I had no reason to sell to sell BIS yesterday. It was a hedge that I still should have.
