Going to Deadwood to Mine for “The Color”

George Hearst in "Deadwood"

_____________

Days like today beg the question of whether the move in the gold miners was the beginning of the next significant leg higher in the gold bull run, or whether it was simply a flash in the pan (no pun intended). So, should we just pick up and move to a crazy gold mining town in search of “the color,” spending our days mining and our nights at the Gem Saloon? First off, looking at the weekly charts of the GDXJ, the ETF for the junior gold miners, as well as the HUI “gold bugs index,” the case for a durable breakout is a strong one (see notes on charts):

Moreover, and this is where The PPT and 12631 are able to add significant value to your trading preparation, a custom made PPT screen I created for subscribers tells us that many individual gold miners have seen heavy accumulation, or significant buying by institutions. In other words, the moves today were supported by strong buy volume across the board, likely from funds.

Double-click on The PPT screen below to see full-size results (top 15 results included)

Thus, we know we had a flat day in the broad market, and that the gold miners significant outperformed today. Now, with The PPT, we can precisely pinpoint which of those miners registered the highest accumulation scores by the algorithm. Inside 12631, we take the algorithm one step further and view the results through the lens of technical analysis. As an example, we take some of the very best setups identified from a given PPT screen and offer members precise commentary (see charts below). In essence, we filter out stocks multiple times in The PPT and 12631, which inevitably has our subscribers working smarter than other traders. Hence, the value-added aspects of our services, not to mention the time saved in preparation.

I have thought long and hard about a post that would be help convince people to try the service but every time I come up short. The simplest thing I could suggest to someone is to try it for 1 month. I can’t imagine you not making back your subscription fee in that time. Chess and RC work very hard to keep us focused and provide actionable trades all the time.

Agreed. I stopped commenting on this topic, because I kept repeating myself. If your goal is to save time and be more efficient – win. If your goal is to find actionable ideas quickly and easily – win. If your goal is to expand your knowledge of sectors and companies outside of your current trading universe – win. If your goal is to learn or improve your swing/short term trading skills with 12631 – win.

OK. I said it again, and again, and again.

Whats up Chess, I pointed out GOLD in my blog a couple days ago before this big move. Should had bought those damn calls. Also take a look at the retail sector specifically retail dept stores like M. Also take a look at AEM for a gold stock sitting on a strong support down here.

I passed through Deadwood in 2003/04 (can’t remember exactly when, don’t care to check). But on the way back, the town was on fire. Damndest thing I ever saw; the pillows of smoke were being carried east and all the hotels were full of evacuees. I ended up sleeping in my car for the night, before I continued back east.

all i can say is, i was lead to the well,at first i didnt drink.then i took a sip, had i taken a true leap of faith back when i saw this well, my jug would be over flowing by now.on the very first day, i COULD NOT BELIEVE I MADE BACK A SIX MONTH SUBSCRIPTION. imagine me,sum-dum drummer.dont get me wrong, i dont day trade.i’m still “kinda” self employed, but it’s in housing, and thats not working out,but this REALLY is. having spent four years at stockpikr learning this craft made it easy to adapt to the ppt,but i must say even if you just started trading because you want to be able to control your life you can make the ppt work for you,you control it,99.99% of the time you’ll be better off in your picks.ive been in awe of this thing for my first three weeks inside the ppt.all i can add to this which is personal: my better half has seen what it’s done for sum dum drummer and she let her stupid idiot account administer her 401k that he lost over 300k.yesterday she yanked her stuff from him in a huge fight she saw what i did on the first week in the ppt, she’s a stubborn sicilian, now she’s a pissed one.guess what she wants now……………..unlike most sites which is #1here,everyone of the bloggers here are approachable, thats what makes it the best………party on
