Prepare to be Challenged

You guys should be pumped up for 12631, launching on November 12 (iBC’s three year anniversary). Enough with the third tier effort that you see on non-iBC related premium sites! Unless, of course, that is your thing.

NOTE: Video of third tier premium stock service provider preparing and executing his game plan:

No need to hype. I’m already clearing space for trades using 12631.

Fly will officially announce it soon, but I can tell you that the combined 12631 and PPT pricing will be VERY reasonable and competitive with other premium services that do not offer nearly what we will.

I certainly hope so… To be honest, I thought the PPT came with such a service. All of the main blogger’s posts typically read “as timestamped in the PPT”. To me, this meant that you all were openly sharing and explaining your market transactions to the PPT users. Come to find out these timestamps were terse twit-like posts buried in the user notes. Not exactly what I had expected…

After joining less than a month ago, I was bummed to find out that you all are now going to charge extra for this. IMHO, unless you purchase the yearly subscription, the value just isn’t there. Depending on what the fees will be with the addition of the 12631, this may continue to remain true.

I sincerely hope you all will offer a trial membership. I wish this was already true for the PPT as it stands today.

          Stinky,

          I appreciate your feedback.

Keep in mind that The PPT in and of itself is unmatched in terms of algorithms available to the public, and it is priced more than generously (less than half the monthly price of many other premium services). If you have any questions regarding using the algo, don’t hesitate to let me, Fly or Jeremy know. Also, be sure to consistently check The PPT blog as Fly constantly updates there, as well as User Screens and User Watchlists for community stocks and scans.

            Chess,

as many other readers, I enjoy reading the free site. I have a couple of comments on the dialogue above between you and stinky.

What are those algorithms? Is there a list of PPT capabilities somewhere in this site? What are the services/benefits subscribers pay for. I apologize in advance if I am missing the link within IBC where these are thoroughly described. I do not mind paying for a subscription at all, but I would like to know what I am paying for? I’d like a thorough description of any product before I purchase it. Wouldn’t you?

What stinky refers to above that the timestamped trades are like “terse twit-like posts” is kind of discouraging to potentially new members.

Maybe I am missing something here, or I am blind. Your response will be appreciated.

    chgo_trdr:

    Thanks for your interest.

Here is a link for some more information about The PPT: http://ppt.ibankcoin.com/ppt_pitch.php

First and foremost, The PPT is an algorithm that enables you to create countless “screens” and filters to do your own research on the market. As an example, if you want to search for stocks in the commodity sector that have huge short % of the float, have outperformed historically in the month of November, are technically improving, and are heavily owned by Goldman Sachs, you could actually search for that and see those results in less than 1 second. There are also overbought/oversold indicators for both the broad market and individual stocks and ETFs. Every single stock has its own “page” as well in The PPT, with a one stop shopping type of place for info.

Regarding stinky’s comments: We welcome constructive feedback. However, I must say that those criticisms are in the distinct minority of PPT members. We do have a “User Notes” section, which he is referring to, where members make brief comments throughout the day about certain stocks. We try to avoid mindless chatter, so we keep everything as focused as we can. I can tell you that I was a PPT subscriber long before I started writing for iBC, and I, along with many others, completely disagree with stinky’s comments. I have found the User Notes section to be a huge source of value for me.

Regarding 12631, check out this post that I wrote this week about it: http://ibankcoin.com/chessnwine/2010/10/19/12631-coming-soon-to-the-ppt/

Feel free to keep asking any questions that you have. Thanks.

I’ve been lurking about the site for a few months and have found it informative and entertaining. For that I say thanks. I wonder if the PPT and 12631 would be of value for someone that may not have an opportunity to watch the market/commentary/boards throughout the trading day.

Thank you for the feedback, chris. I really appreciate that.

One of the benefits of The PPT (and 12631) is that you have others essentially doing much of the work for you. We share all of our analysis, in terms of how we use The PPT algorithm. In 12631, Ragin Cajun and I will seek to save you tens of hours of homework each week by providing timely market commentary and actionable individual trading ideas.

Can we pay for just 12631 and not the PPT?

      Hey Boiler,

No, 12631 is designed to further extrapolate on The PPT algorithm. So, it will only be available to new and existing PPT members. However, I can tell you that the combined price point will be more than fair when compared to other premium services.
