“Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli Found Guilty Of Fraud

You guys remember $KBIO? How about Daraprim? The drug he raised from $13.50 to $750.00. They finally got Mr. Shkreli for fraud today, but judging from the video below he looks pleased with the verdict.

A jury has found Martin Shkreli guilty on two counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud, and not guilty on five other counts, in a trial that centered on the former pharmaceutical executive’s management of two hedge funds.

“We’re not 100 percent pleased, but we’re 90 percent pleased,” Brafman added.

Speaking to the press after the case, he referred to the trial as a “witch hunt of epic proportions.” Watch the clip from CBS News’ Twitter below:

Here are a few names worth watching here, all of which popped up on my Exodus “squeeze” screen. To make it to this screen the stock must be in the top 20% in rank, meaning it must have a strong combined fundamental & technical score. The stock also must be “up” greater than 2% on the day, we are looking for momentum. And, the stock must have a short percentage of 10% or greater, adding fuel to an already up-trending stock.

GLUU – This one has been on my screen for a number of days and show no signs of slowing down. If you zoom out to a weekly chart you can see the potential here. We are in breakout mode, looks for shorts to cover:

BITA – Another one that has been popping on and off this screen. This one is more of a gamble here with earnings in front of us, but the technicals are ripe for a squeeze:

ESV – If oil can break back above $50, watch for this one to break above the 50 day moving average to ignite the squeeze:

CF – The Ag complex has been heating up, and this is ripe to run. Watch for a red to green move with strength in the industry:

How about eating pizza while you workout? Apparently, you can with a membership to Planet Fitness, ticker symbol $PLNT. This is the Netflix of gyms, memberships fees so low there’s no need to cancel, AND you get free pizza on Mondays.

There are so many things wrong with the culture of this gym, including free Tootsie Rolls daily,  but I guess that’s why it works. I know a group of investors who own several franchises of $PLNT, and their numbers are pretty staggering.

I also like the way the technicals are starting to stagger up and to the right, as well as an increasing short position. The stock is also moving up in rank inside Exodus, breaching the top 250, can you say squeeze?

Wins and losses come with this game and in order to be successful in this market you have to stay head strong. There’s nothing more frustrating than doing all the work, getting it right, only to have it taken from you in seconds. That pretty much sums up life as a trader, and my day around lunch time.

Luckily, in after hours, two of my positions are stomping shorts sellers on their latest earnings reports: $BIDU & $FSLR.

As for other trades we were watching on twitter this week. $TSLA = sold for a nice gain, $LITE = Escaped with profits yesterday, $VEEV = took a loss today, & $VRX I’m currently still long. (All noted inside the Exodus trading room.) 

I’m headed out to Florida for the weekend to get these kids out the house one last time before school starts. I’ll leave you guys with one of my favorite screens inside EXOUDS, I call it, “The Buy List” (Members can save screen HERE):

We also had names like $VEEV & $LITE from our buy list ignite Monday as well. I bring those two names up only because both are offering another opportunity to get in before the next leg begins. Both charts have very similar patterns, patterns that should work very well in this market environment.

If $VEEV can peak back over $66, it would be wise to give it your full attention:

Same goes for $LITE. Above $68, and this thing can sprint to $80. I’m still long both, and very much like the setups here:
