I’ve been waiting patiently for a dip to buy in the HIVE Blockchain technology via $HVBTF. It’s a speculative pick for sure, and trades over the counter (OTC), but so did $NTDOY.
With the crypto market in disarray, I took a starter position in the name this morning. I’m also naming this as my speculative pick in 2018, to go along with my stock of the year pick, which can be found HERE.
We should start to see support kick in around this level. I am now long the $HVBTF.

Today’s action can be found in the oil patch with the oil service sector leading the way via $OIH. Our Exodus runner screen is loaded down with tickers within the oil patch, here are some names to watch: CRC, OAS, WLL, RIG, NE, ESV, & my favorite EMES.

On a side note: $GSUM still has the momentum, I’m still looking for another move higher in $HMNY, and I like the action in $SNAP. Let’s see if the bulls can turn this day around.

I took home monster gains in $NTDOY, thanks to the great performance in 2017. The company reported another great report and I decided to take my position off up over 100%. This was my stock of the year for 2017.
I’ve also booked my largest position, $TWTR, selling my shares @ 26.60. This is a big deal for me as I’ve held shares for years. I’m all out here, and rolling some of the profits into $SNAP here @ 13 and a half.
And, what’s my stock of the year for 2018? It’s not as sexy as my former pick, but it shows you what I think is coming for 2018. Drum roll……SEE Exodus FOR OUR 2018 STOCK OF THE YEAR CONTEST.

Nothing is safe here with earnings season in full swing, and I’m perfectly content sitting on my hands here. But, I do admit I’m chomping at the bit to buy a few names on this recent dip. Is it safe to go back into the water?
After a good two days of selling in the overall market, here are some names showing relative strength from our Exodus hybrid screen. I almost bought $WATT at the close, but I whiffed. Here are three names to watch here:

Bitcoin is also fighting with the all important $10,000 whole number tonight. So far the bulls are losing the fight as the crypto currency loses it’s fifth digit. $9500 did hold, for now. You can watch the action HERE.

This week should set the tone for February, as we get into the meat of earnings season. Which company is set to give us the biggest upside surprise? Netflix already gave us the goods last week. Let’s see if the F-A-G (Facebook, Amazon, & Google) will lead us higher. I hate the whole FANG acronym.
