The Top Three Apps in Apple’s App Store The Day After Christmas

Fitbit had the top App in Apple’s App store the day after Christmas followed by Super Mario Run and Snapchat. Super Mario Run has since took over the top spot, but I think it pretty clear that most had a Merry $FITmas.

I took on some $FIT shares this morning at seven and a half, and plan to hold at least until $10. In my opinion, the bad news is priced into this one already with very little hope for a future, judging by the way it has traded. Couple tax-loss selling over the past few weeks and you have a recipe for a huge short squeeze with just a single positive data point.

$NTDOY is also a buy after getting smacked around after the initial launch of Mario Run. This is just the beginning of mobile games being rolled out by Nintendo, and we also have the switch due out in March. It’s a buy at $26, and I’m making this my Stock of The Year in 2017.

And, what can I say about SnapChat? People are board with $FB and migrating over to Snap. With an iPO looming, Snap still has the juice.

Here’s a screenshot of the App store the day after Christmas:

Thoughts on ways to get exposure to snap pre-IPO? Best I could come up with was BABA.

Why worry about $SNAP when you can get $NTDOY at $26?

Well they are two different things. NTDOY is a fine call and I imagine it will make you money.
Snap is taking over, I fully anticipate a generational shift from FB to Snap. Everyone I know that uses FB extensively is 50+ and everyone I know under 25 uses Snap like they need it to be alive. Also, it has money transfer which is going to be preferred to trad banking among the younger set. Assuming they have any money to transfer.

“Assuming they have any money to transfer”.

Therein lies the problem with SNAP. When your target market has no equity, no credit, no cash, how do you monetize your product.

They probably are making $ from the media companies like DailyMail “stories” that appear on the app, the ads they play between friend’s stories, or selling the snap data to others.
