AAPL is sitting right at support around $85. You could get long with a stop right below $85, OR you could get short with a break below $85.
I am not making a move on AAPL today, just wanted to highlight the setup.

Apple is one torturous experience for me. On one hand, I know it’s incredibly cheap at the moment. On the other hand, if Steve Job dies, it’ll be half of what it is right now. And I’d rather not trade it based on technical characteristics.

I bought AAPL april 65 puts a couple weeks ago. I’m not saying it’s going to get to 65, but I think there will be continued downward pressure on this one.
In Canada, iPhone purchases have slowed. Who can afford a $1,400 Macbook? Job losses continuing. I had my iPod jacked last week, and I don’t plan on replacing it for a while. Despite the excellent products, I think AAPL will experience a large drop in sales.
Another reason why I opened this trade is that I remembered how this stock reacted last year in Q1. The stock dropped big time in Jan 08, and that was when the economy was just slowing down.
AAPL halted, Any guess?
Somehow I doubt it’s anything good.

I read that Howard sold his AAPL into strength in the 90s. Good for him. I am thankful I dodged that turd.
If it gaps down hard I think you can go long on the open and look for some fill.

FSLR got hammered yesterday with price target downgrades by everyone. You can measure the pulse of solar by FSLR.
I’m still holding my AAPL SHORTS at $95. Gee, surprise news always works to the DOWN side in a BEAR market. Odd no? Who knew?
