What’s the evidence / general concept here for expecting a commodity bounce?
Still short coming into this morning, but came off margin on thursday afternoon. Will most likely close out all positions this afternoon when I see the PPT come in. I’ll wait for some type of wedge up to reshort. coming into this morning I thought I was capitally fucked, instead the market gods smiled and gave me a reprieve. I am loved by all.

I’m a buyer of tech around here. It’s time to start “nibbling” on long term holds imo. Tech lead this leg down, so it should lead the way out. Not saying this is even close to the bottom though. GOOG could drop another $100.
This is a time to short. If this didn’t boost the market with a sustained rally, GTFOTW
I took profits in TSO and WNR this morning and quickly put them back on when they pulled back. Refiners are the only trade I can get my head around right now.

i love FCX here, and i almost bought it today when it flirted with 70 and change. need a tight stop, though. if it dips below 69, you have to head for the hills.

Refiners worked yesterday. I guess you can’t expect them to work 2 days in a row.
What’s everyone doing with VLO, TSO, WNR, etc
They never work 2 days in a row.
refiners taking it on the chin, because they’re selling off gasoline futures on the hurricane moving south.
FCX below 69. doesn’t look good today.
however, the current trading in commodities is exactly the same as it was in financials before july 15. makes me think we’re getting close to a bounce. maybe if a couple more funds can cave in and cough it all up.
