That was a common theme for many this past weekend as Gustav headed for the Gulf coast. It was amazing to see the amount of people who evacuated. Gas was definatly a rare commodity and still is in some parts of Baton Rouge. The whole city is still without power.
I feel like I’m seeing the same thing in the market place, no power — what I mean is no leadership. Everything is getting shot.
Just when I thought Apple Inc. [[AAPL]] was safe by the 200 MA, it was shot. If AAPL can’t move with all the recent upgrades and news pending on new ipods, what can? Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. [[WMT]] ? Please…
As of right now, Valero Energy Corporation [[VLO]] is my largest position and I’m sticking with it. As for National-Oilwell Varco, Inc. [[NOV]] , I took a nice beating and was stopped out Tuesday morning, I’m actually considering buying it back down here.
But, for now I will do nothing. We have an evacuation of the market, and the buyers are out of gas.

Welcome back RC… to an ugly market though.
I wish you would have warned me to stay away, what did I walk into?
you missed a hell of a lil’ wayne debate RC. It was awesome. glad your back in the hood.
haha. yeah, that debate occurred on my updated a-MeLi post.
a MELI a MELI a MELI… hey, MELI down 15% in less than a week since I spotted it. “I’m okay, but my drop sick.”
GOEY is the only green stock up in this madness. power.
RC,
What do people do when they run out of gas when they’re evacuating? Does it just fuck everyone up? Abandoned cars on the interstate?
Meanwhile, Ike looking like it may get close to your area too…

I would wait a bit on NOV. The whole “oil pit” has a ways to move down. Natural Gas has bottomed though so I am adding to my UPL Monday morning!
Tuesday will be bigger than people think, I am sticking with my buy Apple Monday and own it to Christmas. Buy it back in February. Now I will just sit here and hold my breath.
