Does it surprise you that we’re up after the day we had yesterday? I shouldn’t. I need to put myself in strict day trader mode as I keep watching my gains disappear.
Just yesterday I had a nice gain in [[CHK]], but today is a differnet story. I’m still holding the stock as it sits on the 200 MA, but any lower and I will have to toss it out.
Oil broke support some minor support today, which should be bullish for the overall market– Keep an eye on it.
My shorts [[CRM]] & [[ENER]] seem to do the same thing everyday, pop at the open then fade. I’m starting to getting antsy with this ENER breakdown and may dump it today, same goes for [[CRM]].
Anybody watching [[USS]], it looks interesting. [[BWLD]] reports after the bell, I like it ahead of numbers. Ag received a nice pop at the open, but is now fading. I like the short setups from last night.

Bought NUE calls.
Otherwise I’m in full Costanza mode, whatever looks likely, the market will do opposite.
Ragin,
dont take this personally, but get your mojo back before you initiate a new trade.
I’m guessing someone who needs out of CRM will float a rumor of SAP for CRM. That will be the time to put it out again.
CHK – do you see a bounce?
46.60 is my stop. I would like to say it bounces here, but with oil breaking down, who knows.
USS is some kind of pump and dump. has to be.
Rage,
Also not liking the action in CRM today. Covered at 64.15. SAP reported explosive earnings out of Europe this morning and raised guidance for the year. I also was expecting them to fade it, but the mkt’s too strong and CRM is not fading. In this mkt, sometimes you just gotta fold ’em.
The irony is the healthcare stocks which I want to buy dont seem to want to catch a bid on a DOW +160 day (at least right now).
Unbelievable.

My only short position right now is MON. On a day like today, MON is struggling. Looks like it could test 100 soon. Stops at 120-ish.
I agree with everything you said.

Ironic, but not worrisome, imho.
If you look back on the last couple of months of bear, the energy stocks (the “hot savior” at the time) almost never participated on days when the “beat downs” rallied.
I still think the smart money is in the bios. Look at AMGN today.
