I thought today was green day? My portfolio is bleeding red, as I stupidly held long throughout the day waiting for a push higher. I recently blew out a few of my positions, [[NVDA]] [[RIMM]], [[LDK]].
Still holding [[STP]], [[MSFT]], [[TSO]], [[GU]] & [[AMZN]]– I bought a put to protect myself.
A bloody day for the Cajun.

By the way I didn’t see the MSFT drop coming either. I bought it on the last dip and it has not performed well, even after blow out earnings.
People just hate Mr. Softie, and the merger arbitrage with Yahoo doesn’t help the price action.
Guess you’re not perfect… happens to the best every now and then. I’m glad I went to neutral. SKF, CHK, and remaining FSLR calls made today a good day, otherwize I’d be slightly down today.

LDK and DRYS are the two hardest stocks I have ever traded. If you can buy some long calls say like 6 months plus I think LDK is great right here. I sold all my DRYS and will not touch it unless it pulls way back. Having said that, there is a great chance DRYS continues straight up.
I thought for sure LDK would breakout with FSLR running.

Q4: “Cube cup & handle”
Not so fast, bub… the cup and handle, if I remember my TA correctly, has to come off of a consolidation pattern… you can’t just “pick it off” a downward sloping trendline like that. Besides, the consolidation zone (if you want to call it that) is not til about 47.70 or so, and the cubes are coming off an overbought period here…
AMZN looks more promising, but be cautious, it’s approaching both a long term (80.07 23.6%) fib line and a short term (80.45 38.2%) fib line here.

In basketball terms, I’m in the process of a “heat check”, bub. Yes, the cubes aren’t an exact definition of the c&h, however to my eyes from a far it looks good enough. Remember, there are no rules in love and war. My wins outweigh my losses in the last 2 weeks (GOOG, NFLX, BJS included) gives me the right to throw caution into the wind. Fuck it, it’s just money.
If AMZN doesn’t melt up I will proceed to punch my own eyebrows off and buy a Harley. BTW fuck APC. Took a big loss on that nightmare recently.

Contrarian play working well for me of late with individual stocks. I’m guessing due to the bizarro environment. GOOG – everybody thought they would miss, I bet they wouldn’t. NFLX – everybody thought they would beat, they didn’t. Now AMZN, street thinks they will miss, look at the 15,000+ volume on the May 70 puts. Gulp. I’m going to slay that beast tomorrow.
If OSTK beat, so should AMZN.
However, too dicey for me. Do a strangle.
