This morning:
I completely sold out of UEC (5% cash raise).
I completely sold out of SLW for +5% (11% cash raise)
I then sold down CCJ and HCLP (my two remaining largest positions) until my cash position was 25%.
HCLP remains my largest and most successful position this year, +170% since I bought it last August. CCJ is an idea I remain committed to, but it’s gone nowhere and I need some cash.
UEC is small, speculative, and just asking for a beat down.
SLW was a quick trade, not an investment.
It’s time to start letting off the gas. Because, let me ask you: isn’t this getting a little out of hand?

thoughts on NRP and coal? I had bought a couple rounds of NRP in the 14’s. Wanted to keep adding but it’s over 16 now.
I very much like coal as a long horizon investment, but I’m skeptical about adding to much of anything at the moment. I’d also be very choosy about what to hold. I like NRP, but would be lying if I said they didn’t have some problems. There are other better investments here – NRP is speculative.
Congrats on the gains-
North Dakota just adopted new regulations on gas flaring. Could end up having a significant downward impact on prices, as additional supply will be forced to market. Is this why you sold?
No, not really
Happy 4th my man
