Thinly Traded $CRCM Gets Investment and New Board Member from Google

This is a stock that has fallen from $30 down to $8, so this is very interesting. Google announced they are making a $46.35 million investment in CRCM, representing about 15% of the company. Additionally, Laela Sturdy, a partner at Google Capital, will be joining their board, in order to help them get their heads out of their asses.

In making the announcement, Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Founder, Chairwoman and CEO of Care.com, said, “We are thrilled to announce this investment and to partner with Google Capital during our next phase of growth. We remain focused on delivering on our vision of building a global marketplace for care to help solve the needs of millions of families and caregivers. Laela will be a great addition to our Board, bringing significant operating and investing experience including nearly a decade at Google/Alphabet. We look forward to bringing that expertise to bear as we innovate our service offerings for our members and corporate clients, while continuing to add value for our shareholders.”

Ms. Sturdy said, “Care.com is in a unique position to help millions of working families in search of high quality care for their loved ones, and to help caregivers find meaningful work. Google has been a customer of Care.com’s enterprise services for employees since 2011, so I’ve been able to see first-hand how Care.com’s innovative mobile platform and enterprise solution – Care@Work – helps families search for caregivers and get much needed back-up care services. Google Capital is excited to support Care.com in building on their market leadership by giving them access to our biggest asset—some of the world’s leading experts in a range of topics at Google and Alphabet – as they continue to deliver delightful and seamless solutions to consumers and enterprises.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Care.com has issued a newly authorized series of convertible preferred stock to Google Capital, at an initial conversion price of $10.50 per share, representing a 21% premium to the 30-day volume-weighted average trading price ended June 27, 2016 of $8.68. Dividends on the preferred stock accrue at 5.5% annually during the first seven years from issuance and are payable in kind. Additional information regarding the terms of the preferred stock, including the conversion and redemption rights of both Google Capital and the Company, may be found in the Form 8-K that will be filed today with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

This stock should race higher tomorrow.

Investors Abandon the Ark to Go Swimming: Treasuries Sink, Stocks Surge

All of the giraffe and antelope jumped ship late in the session, at the first signs of calmer climes. Treasuries had hit new highs, earlier in the day, only to give way to sellers–as equity markets rampaged higher.

Look at that volume.

image

This is common practice of both giraffe and antelope, as they are an impatient species, always lured to shore by low hanging fruit and luscious trees. Odds are, treasuries will sell off a bit more into ex-dividend. I will get paid my monthly 26 cent dividend. Markets will return to a state of flummox. The giraffe and the antelope will race back to the ark again. Only this time, I will instruct my oarsmen to strike them about the head when they attempt to reboard.

I took a new position today, which was highlighted in Exodus. It is a quick trade with a global perspective in mind. I am very happy you were able to enjoy respite. But it won’t last–that much I can assure you.

The Charmed Life of Frederick Wilson: $TWLO Surges 18% On No News

Just one week removed from bringing public this overpriced, future disaster, dubbed TWLO, Frederick Wilson is cleaning house–as the shares continue to press higher.

TWLO

Let us all remember the previous victims of F. Wilson’s IPO extravaganzas and suggest that this new Vonage might not be worth 15x sales. In other words, to value TWLO at $2.5 billion or 15x sales, while VG is trading at around 1.3x sales, one has to be cognizant of the chance that ticker symbol TWLO ‘could’ tumble 90% from current levels–down to 4 bucks–to find equilibrium with its peer group.

For the year, TWLO is expected to bleed out another $35 million or so.

CRUDE OIL ERASES POST BREXIT LOSSES

Business as usual gents. The House of Saud is very much delighted by the recent upturn in crude oil, as they shop around Aramco for an initial public offering to all of the world’s best investment banks.

Crude oil snapped back like a catapult, thrusting prices higher by 4%. As WTI nears $50, traders are getting increasingly greedy.

Some of the favorite stocks to play are in the fracking space–because no one is doing it any longer– and hope springs eternal. Shares of HCLP, EMES, SLCA and FMSA are ejaculating higher.

There is such joy, such pleasure, in the oil and gas space, one would hardly believe this was a sector rife with debilitating debt loads, burdened by a commodity in decline, and strangled by psychotic domestic regulatory bodies just a few months ago.

Sadly, over the past week, oil stocks are down 5.5% on the median basis–despite the commodity roaring back. No worries. With today’s 3% gain and the specter of the whole BREXIT vote being something of a bluff, not to be taken seriously, I am nearly certain traders will give it the old college try tomorrow and the days to come, to press energy stocks to new highs.

Kerry Says BREXIT May Not Happen, Suggests It Could Be ‘Walked Back’

In a meeting of ideas today, U.S. secretary of state said he doubted the UK would listen to the will of the people and said ‘there were a number of ways it could be walked back’ from BREXIT.

Kerry said Cameron was very reluctant to invoke article 50, which would trigger the farewell and goodbyes to the EU.

He concluded, glibly, “this is a very complicated divorce.”

According to AFP, Mr Kerry said that he thought Mr Cameron “feels powerless — and I think this is a fair conclusion –- to go out and start negotiating a thing that he doesn’t believe in, and he has no idea how he would do it.”

“And by the way nor do most of the people who voted to do it,” Mr Kerry reportedly said, possibly referring to “Leave” campaigners such as former London mayor Boris Johnson.

The full court press, by the globalist, totalitarian, oligarchs is on– to subvert the democratic process in the UK, using ‘the law’ as a method to accomplish their means.

Great Britain Celebrates BREXIT With Gargatuan Market Gains

Granted, the world almost ended a few days ago. But now everyone is happy again. Over in the UK,  as the traitorous Jacobites in Scotland suck on the tits of the EU leadership, the Empire of Great Britain are enjoying gigantic gains, higher by 6.7% over the past two days.

image

What’s interesting to note is that England’s markets are outperforming all others in Europe. After the initial shock, harangued by laughable losses in the bedraggled banking sector, England has persevered quite nicely. Moreover, and indelibly so, this should serve as a case study for other European nations hoping to escape the figure four leg lock of the EU.

In the states, our markets are enjoying uninterrupted splendor, as if nothing happened at all. With more than 500 points in the bag since yesterday, the squalor that was recently feared to be heading towards Wall Street has been cast aside for streets paved with gold and heroin laced cocaine marijuana cigarettes.

U.S. Government Just Made America Safe Again; Border Protection to Include Social Media Inquiries

We just won the war against migrants trying to attack these great lands. The Obama administration will now demand to know the Facebook and Twitter accounts of all migrants entering this country. As we speak, the leaders of ISIS are scratching their flea infested heads, wondering how they’re going to get around this new layer of border security.

Fuck the wall. We have border patrol agents ready to ask migrants their snapchat handles.

The US government is proposing making social media accounts part of the visa screening process for entry into the country.

US Customs and Border Protection’s proposed change would add a line on both the online and paper forms of the visa application form that visitors to the US must fill out if they do not have a visa and are planning on staying for up to 90 days.

The following question would be added to both the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (Esta) and I-94W forms: “Please enter information associated with your online presence—Provider/Platform—Social media identifier.”

The information will be optional, for now, but the proposed change published by the US Federal Register states that “collecting social media data will enhance the existing investigative process and provide Department of Homeland Security (DHS) greater clarity and visibility to possible nefarious activity and connections by providing an additional tool set which analysts and investigators may use to better analyze and investigate the case.”

The proposal is currently under consultation, with US government taking comments until 22 August.

We truly have mentally ill people making decisions for us.

DEMAND FOR SEATS ON THE ARK REACH A RECORD HIGH

You catamites are enjoying the music and entertainment aboard the SS Titanic, playing a fools game in a morons morass of sheer idiocy, long commodity stocks and index futures. You will get blown to pieces, and more.

Having said that, let me remind you of Le Fly’s magnanimity. My positions are doing exceptionally well, safely comforted inside the gold mine while floating aboard the ark (The Fly traverses the multiverse and defies traditional, pedestrian, laws of physics).

While it’s true, I ignored the oversold signals inside Exodus on Monday, as outlined in a special blog post inside the platform to explain the rationale, I harbor no regrets.

image

For me, vanquishing my 50% cash position for SPY was something I was unwilling to do. Others made money on the signal, such as RAUL–who correctly played TQQQ. But I wasn’t interested in taking on a position with a 10 day holding period, which were the rules I established in the beginning of the year for my Exodus trading programme. As such, I remain, inexorably, safe and free from the harrowing events that are to come.

Treasuries have hit new all time highs today. How could that be?

BofA/Merrill Issues Scathing Report on Regionals, Declares ‘Hope is Not a Thesis’

The math is simple for BofA: BREXIT means the Fed rate hikes are off the table, which means spreads will remain tight and banks will be under pressure. A super low rate environment is toxic for the banks. Look at the condition of the European banks, trying to deal with negative yields.

At any rate, they equate the seemingly low multiplies at many regionals to value traps and suggest avoiding them at all costs.

“Regional bank investors will remain mostly focused on higher rates, revenue growth, and M&A potential – Brexit negatively impacts all three,” writes Najarian. “As such, regional banks stocks are to us, as a group, potential value traps from here.”

For the large-cap regionals, Bank of America Merrill Lynch cut Comerica Inc. and Zion Bancorporation to ‘underperform’ from ‘neutral,’ lowering its price targets to $36 from $45 and $24 from $29, respectively. Najarian also reduced Regions Financial Corp. to ‘neutral’ from ‘buy,’ trimming her price target to $8.50 from $9.50.

“We anticipate one specific counterargument to our more cautious stance: history has suggested that the best time to buy bank stocks would be when they trade below tangible book value (TBV) – if there are no share count issues, which is our base case,” the analyst explained. “But, this post-crisis macro backdrop, marked by stubbornly low interest rates, is unprecedented. So, depressed valuation on TBV could persist near-term – as they have in Japanese bank stocks.”

Biotech Lotto: $TSRO Surges on Phase 3 Data for Ovarian Cancer; Credit Suisse, Wells Fargo Hike Price Target

Shares of Tesaro are the hottest thing in biotech today and will probably continue to be until the final results for their phase 3 drug are released in the fall. The stock is higher by $40, completely castrating any shorts found in the stock.

image

Via briefing.com

Tesaro (TSRO 74.40, +37.19) is a biotechnology company focused on providing transformative therapies for the treatment of cancer. Today its stock is having a transformative session, having doubled after Tesaro announced positive results for its Phase 3 NOVA trial of niraparib, an oral, once-daily PARP inhibitor for patients with ovarian cancer.

The salient news is that the Phase 3 NOVA trial successfully achieved its primary endpoint of progression-free survival.

Ovarian cancer is the fifth most frequent cause of cancer death among women. In the United States alone, approximately 22,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year.

These cancer sufferers undergo platinum-based chemotherapy as part of their treatment regimen. Dr. Tom Herzog, M.D., Clinical Director, University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute and Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gyneclogy at the University of Cincinnati, is quoted in the press release as saying the majority of women diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer will suffer a relapse even if they respond to the initial chemotherapy.

Herzog added that, “New treatment options are needed to extend the time in between cycles of platinum-based chemotherapy for these patients, and the results from the NOVA study suggest that niraparib could represent an important new treatment option for many patients with ovarian cancer.”

The full results of the study are expected in the fall.

Tesaro notes that an ongoing development program for nirparib includes the Phase 3 trial in patients with ovarian cancer (NOVA trial); a registrational Phase 2 treatment trial in patients with ovarian cancer (QUADRA trial); a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of patients with BRCA-positive breast cancer (BRAVO trial); and a Phase 3 trial in patients with first-line ovarian cancer (PRIMA trial).

Credit Suisse upped their target to $90 and Wells Fargo to $122-$132.
