I have added two new blogs to my blogroll. Not to seem snobbish or otherwise arrogant, but I carefully screen the blogs before adding them to the blogroll, mainly because I use my own blogroll as a daily reading list. The point is that these blogs are ones that I consider to be top-notch, worth spending my own valuable time reading.
The two newest additions are CSS Analytics and Quantivity. Both of these are what I term “hard” quant blogs, meaning that they may not be appropriate for beginning system/quantitative traders as the learning curve can be so steep as to be overwhelming. Regardless, the research, ideas, and perspective presented in both blogs are outstanding, and I wish them much continued success in the blogosphere.
The guy who runs CSS Analytics has a Hungarian last name (Varadi…or “VĂ¡radi”, I’m assuming), so you know he’s a damn smart individual. Word up!
DP, not only is he smart, but he seems to be a very friendly and helpful individual.
nice.
too busy to seriously investigate so bookmarking.
Hope the changes are treating you well Cuervo. Keep us updated and stop by when you can!
Ya, good ones. I’d like to see someone facilitate non math geeks getting into non indicator based statistical analysis, especially using R http://www.r-project.org/ . Some of Quantivity’s forum links are pure humble pie for the lesser 99.9% lol
Big ole heapin’ helpin’ of humble pie!
Good ones Wood. And yes, definitely “hard” quant blogs.
Thought you might like Caveman. I use “hard” as opposed to “soft” which I think is more along the lines of standard moving average testing, testing of consecutive up/down days, new n day highs, etc.

Woodshedder,
I already added both to my blogroll as well, and I recommend a third one which takes a quantitative/statistical approach as well (but which might be a bit easier to read eligible for the beginning trader as well).
