Wow, looking back over my recent posts, there has been a surprising lack of charts. I promise that I will try and post more technical analysis of charts, in the future. In the meantime, Weekly TA has been doing a good job with his analysis as King of the Peanut Gallery.
Lately, I’ve been focused on my strategy trades and development of new strategies. With the markets being so difficult for most traders to be successful, it has seemed useless to scan for setups, the way I used to do. I would rather focus on more productive activities, until the markets stabilize and volatility levels off.
As for today’s activity, it should not have been much of a surprise to anyone. For what its worth, I’m still bullish. I will be looking to exit from my short positions soon and begin looking long again.
I have no new signals tonight, on any of the systems I trade, including the Big Bamboo
Â
looks like the bampoo was just a tad early. today would have been nice. I do have MZZ on which looks pretty healthy
B-rad, I think, more than being early, that the stops are too tight for the volatility of late.
I’m still in SMN, and my larger stop did not get hit while the stop for the Big Bamboo did.
Wood-
Made money in the last Bamboo recommendations… Did not use stops. Quick Question.
Do you think it is too late to go into QID today. I totaly missed the gap down yesterday.
Susan, I will be holding onto my QID today, or will be selling half of it. I will not be adding any.
It is entirely possible that today will be down another few percent, but a lot of that might get eaten up on the morning gap.
woody,
thanks for qll your post. entered IWM 54 put @ 4.15 and out 5.0.
keep us posted with your studies.
thanks
Bill, nice work. Today and yesterday will likely be my best 2 days of 08.
the last bamboo pick was spot on, just a day early. Instead of stopping out at that level, i added and pow! time to peel of a piece. Maybe you can revisit a few entry levels, and then add the stop? This trade was great. thanks
Howdy, I’ve enjoyed SMN, from the Big Bamboo.
Soon, maybe tonight, I’m going to do some drawdown analysis to find out how much those losing trades moved against the system, with the idea of adjusting the stop level for my own personal trades. I’ll report what I find.
thank you, sir
