A Look At The Russell

The Russell 2000 is threatening a break of this steep treandline that started back in August. We are still above the 20 day MA, so I’m sure dip buyers will swoop in and buy this makret, but for some reason today feels different. I have yet to make any trades, and will hold off until I see how the market holds up into the close. Here’s a look at today’s top industries on this down day.

If you bring up the daily chart, price is flagging right above the 200 day MA. This gives you a clear stop should the trade go against you. On strength, I like it for a breakout trade.

This is one we caught early, in the Pelican Room, as price crossed above the 50 day MA. Above 12.80, and this one can get moving in a hurry. The stock is thinly traded so be careful with position sizing, but I like the setup:
