Thanks for waiting the whole day. Turns out you didn’t miss much on my “super-secret” pick of Beazer Homes USA, Inc. [[BZH]] today, although you might have been able to buy it at the lows of $4.01 had I mentioned it first thing like I thought I would. But let’s be honest, how many of you would’ve grabbed your cups at that point and drank deep of this possibly downswirling poisonous homebuilder??
That’s right, none o’ ya. Besides, I bot it at $4.21 near yesterday’s close (when I announced it on The PPT — are you subscribing yet??), so I don’t feel bad about letting you in on it at right around the same price.
Why Beezy? I have no idea, I guess the Inflation Gods are moving into even the crappy homebuilder space. The only thing I know is the charts are showing compelling interest and very close to “BTFO” levels at today’s close. Please to enjoy the following picture show… first the weekly for the price and volume overview:
Then the Daily to show the turtle head that caused me to take my “starter position” at $4.21
On top of this new pick, the Jacksons are starting to make noise again, with Silver Wheaton Corp. (USA) [[SLW]] and Eldorado Gold Corporation (USA) [[EGO]] making nice moves today. Thompson Creek Metals Company, Inc. [[TC]] continues to be punished for the sin of issuing capital to Canuckistanian Securities Firms, may God curse their Yukon Cornelius beards to immediate dreadlocked disarray. Soon, I will be forced to buy a tonne (sic) more. We shall see.
My [[GDX]] call play is beginning to look nice as well, and I believe all will be well with us if [[UUP]] continues to stay below $23.30.
Best to you all.

on TC i got bagged with a full fill and gettting drilled…everytime UBS or one of these big european banks does a bought deal its a disaster…if it was one of the smaller canadian shops with limited capital they would not do a bought deal unless they had it presold…thus it becomes an investment..but ben the beard and obama will bail us out by printing and devaluing
Well, it did say “a syndicate of underwriters led by UBS ” but yeah, I agree on the downside of this new “bang-bang” underwriting methodology…. one of my old firm’s guys was just bitching about it to me today… saying that “overnight” is the only deals done these days… no ability for underwriters to let their sales forces work the deal, especially not the poor retail schlemiels who might need more than a couple of hours to put away a large position.
Glad I’m sticking w. M&A these days.

Pay it mind.
umm I had my old fellas hand to me on a silver platter playing this space earlier this year. I’m sure you’re right, however I’m now gun shy after that mauling. I was in KB Homes and some other crap shit stock that i was lucky to get out of before they collapsed in a heap.
But I read that one firm recently raised prices, which is a good thing.
You may be right… my analysis is purely technical.. price and volume surge, breaking out to new highs.
Tends to work, fwiw.

Yes, let’s hand control of the only free form of media over to an administration that has displayed zero self control on the issues of cencorship and respect for conflicting opinions. That line of thinking has worked very well in China, where they still don’t know why the rest of the world lowers their voices when they say “Tibet”.
It’s totally insane, which is why I bring it to your attention. Now I question whether his supporters — the liberals who were so “all about” the civil liberties (Ottnot, where fort art thou?) when mean old George Bush was tapping terrorist phones (kept on by Badass Barack, btw) will have a word of protest here.
Where’s the ACLU on this one? Probably filing suit on a ten commandment statue somewhere… important stuff.

BTW — NEW POST !!———————————>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Speaking of schmucks, have you heard of this muppet, Van Jones, the new “Green Jobs Czar”?
This speech is painful to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVNtoAiOh1k
At least he’s well credentialed:
‘Speaking to the East Bay Express, Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots, during which time he was arrested. “I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”
“I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’ I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary,” he said.’
BHO has shown himself to be quite the excellent judge of character.

These silly ideas have been floating around since the www took off in the mid-1990’s. I guess if were were under an all out cyber-attack governments around the world would have no hesitation in pulling the plug.
