Can someone explain what it is that Gartman does? Is he just a newsletter writer? Has he ever made anybody a dime? He seems like a guy who gets on tv a lot to be bullish about things that are going up and bearish about things that are going down. The ultimate “descriptive, not predictive” guy.

Perhaps this is the case, but as an economist he does try to predict longer term trends within the market place.
