I am still short of share of Starbucks in highly principled terms, since $77.29 with a $76.77 add.
On principle, I say, seeing as the coffee is burnt But for the sugary cover-ups of its drinks, I doubt the firm would be in business today.
Just last night, I was at one of the fancier Starbucks sporting a “Clover machine,” where I ordered the most expensive coffee they had from Africa. Needless to say, it was another disappointment, especially given how lackadaisical the workers were to get the line moving.
Perhaps I am being a bit too harsh on Starbucks here, but in all seriousness the technical case for holding my short is still there.

Chess, sometimes the stocks you are short are exactly what I’m long..lol! (that saddens me) In this case, I absolutely HATE Starbucks the company & chart. Feel free to grind them into oblivion along with GM.
On a side note, it’s totally lowbrow, but I’ve been enjoying a low acid coffee I picked up in El Paso called “Don Pedro’. It’s already ground & in a can, but I like it enough to have added a 4pk in w/ my most recent AMZN order.

I now get my coffee at Trader Joes, whole beans of good quality and inexpensive.
I agree with you about the SBX coffee and have thought about this for years but I try not to confuse my trading with my personal tastes (anti Peter Lynch) for if I did I would have shorted AMZN years ago and thus been wiped out several times over.

Hah I tried out the “clover” yesterday as well. Got the Hawaiian coffee. It was alright, but nothing special.

Maybe because of the differences of City’s fluoride amounts in the water which might of offset the coffee robust strong taste. 😉
