In addition to global materials miners/energy plays I discussed this morning, also keep an eye on CNQ CNX as two of the more intriguing and cleaner technical long setups in the complex. Just a tad more strength would likely trigger another breakout.

I’m still monitoring my UPL hypothesis. The weekly frame is what I care about – I view the duck and weaves since earnings as a positive.

In the same group I have owned PGH in my 401k (nice dividend) since it broke above 5.30 in July. I think that as long as it holds 6.00 it has the potential to move much higher.
Strong move in CLF today. I like steel here.
