You might know where I am going with this. But consider the monthly chart of Canadian Pacific, below. Undoubtedly a powerful breakout which nearly satisfied Jim Cramer’s gimmicky interesting “$80-to-$120 rule.”

Nonetheless, we are looking at an extremely steep angle of ascent for months on end. CP has been a leader of the resurgent transports for a while now.

In my next post, I will follow-up on the title of this blog post, this time looking at the daily timeframe.
