Layering Out

I sold off 1/4 of my $DDS position. The name took a while to get going, but I am up nicely on it now. I will likely layer out on further strength.

Trade time-stamped in The PPT.

Right now I’m all cash and precious metals. Look’s like you’re reducing your equity positions for now too.

I remember taking this trade with you near 27. That is about where you entered, right? I bounced at 26.22 as I saw it getting close to my stop which was around 26. I was right as it went a good bit lower. I’m curious about your risk-reward ratio as this trade clearly has been heavy on the risk side. Do you normally allow positions to drawdown on you like this or are have you just been confident because of the bearded clam and his QE?

entered ~$26.65–never breached my stop, despite the swings in it. Also, I had more confidence in the broad mkt over the past few weeks, so I gave this one some time because of its huge short position and the possibility of a huge squeeze, which we have seen the past few days.
