Tech

With IBM buying Sun, I think it make sense to look at a few tech names if we get a late day rally. One that I’ve been watching, and may buy, is VMW– I just want a pullback first. GOOG is also pulling back right to it’s 50 day, and even NVDA is breaking out.

I will do a few PPT scans, let me know if you guys have any good tech plays. Oh yeah, how bout AAPL, over $100.

I think we are setting up for a late day rally, long live the bulls (for now).

Oil is Trying To Make A Run

Just the other day we get word from OPEC stating that they will not cut production. Immediately after the news, oil begins to tank, only to reverse a few hours later. Here we are a day later and oil looks ready to breakout.

Looking at USO, the ETF that tracks crude, we see a beautiful bounce of the 50day, which is typically a bullish signal. I will be watching closely to see how crude reacts in the next few days.

Right now I am positioned with DXO, WTI, & BTFO candidate PDE. The sector as a whole is moving up in ranks in The PPT, and just today has issued many buys in the industry. Names include: CRZO, SD, EGY, WTI, GMXR, FTO, HK, SWN & a few others.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Even with the bad news out of NUE, as well as a few other companies, people are still buying stocks today. Maybe St. Patrick will bless us with nothing but green today.

So far today I sold SDS @ $90, and have a huge cash position. My biggest position next to cash happens to be DXO, which displays a beautiful rounded bottom and is trading above the 50 day.

Here are few stocks I like in the oil space: GMXR, WTI, PDE, PBR, & NOV.

As for Alternative energy, it is dead, for now. I won’t touch it and believe we will see more pain in the sector. The only name that kind of gets me somewhat excited is CLNE, and that is only because a few certain Democrats hold a decent position in the name.

The market look good here, and could be setting up for another run, mainly because people are too quick to short a bounce.

As long as we hold 750, we’re good to go a little higher, maybe even 800. But, a break below 750 probably leads us back down to 720.

Trade well.

A Look Inside The PPT

Here’s another quick look at The PPT:

Join The PPT from RaginCajun on Vimeo.

The service has exceeded my expectation and I’m happy to be a part of it. The service gets better by the day, and many great ideas are thrown around every hour. It’s also great for beginners, they can ask any question they like in the forum and get profession advice from real traders.

The PPT also does a great job helping me find stocks on the move quickly and effortlessly. Why do you think I turned positive on BOOM all of a sudden? The key is, you buy the stock when the hybrid score gives you a buy rating around 3.00.

BOOM’s historical scores:

The PPT was the brains behind my MELI trade last week:

Fly posted an easy screen to scout out short squeezes early last week, and The PPT nailed a few names.

Just take a look at JOSB:

If you would have followed The PPT computer model you would have bought JOSB @ 21, right now the stock is trading around 27.

What are you waiting for? Join the gang, become a part of The PPT.
