Late Day Update

I closed out all my positions going into the weekend, with the exception of a few long term holds. Who knows what next week/month will bring so I want to go in with a clear mind.

After the first month of 2009 RC’s portfolio is higher, and I’m happy to start off strong after a dismal 4Q in ’08.

I have a Super Bowl winning weekend planned, but may find time to squeeze in a video– no promises.

I bought ENER @ 25.35.

SPWRA came through with a good report this morning. Should we get strength in the market, watch for solar to catch fire.

Update: Sold ENER @ 25.30, as market begins to breakdown.

Tomorrow does not look good. It may be the day our friend Mr. DevilDog wins for good. The fact the SPY sliced & closed right though it’s 50 day is BEARISH. I don’t care about AMZN. We will not rally without the financials, and they are DONE after tonight’s news.

I plan on selling my longs in the am, and will look to buy my favorite inverse ETFs (SRS), (FAZ), (TZA) & (FXP).

My Take on AAPL

I’m a buyer of AAPL above it’s recent uptrend line, and will close out my position below that level.

I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to immediately have a stop in place should the trade go wrong. So with that in mind, always look for your exit before making the trade– this way your risk is defined. (risk/reward: $1 down, $10 up)
