Hey Ragin…just got back from watching the Jayhawks get Clown Raped by T.Tech. I see my surrogate SEC team are playing the Dawgs close.

Thanks for the list…headline should be “Earnings and Shitty Guidance” for the week. I bought some UYM near the close on Friday.

Thanks for all your work on this site.

Sorry for your loss, T.Tech is for real.

Hopefully the tigers can pull it out.

    Here’s a video you might appreciate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU1pD4xPe2M&fmt=18

That Is A Great Video…I’ve seen some really clever videos the last few days. Maybe depression brings the best out of us.

Funniest line I heard this week with regard to getting an Investment job on Wall Street…. Its Dubai,Mubai,Shanghai or Goodbye!

Oh and 450 is the new 50.

I just want it to be warm and fuzzy again.

Go Red Raiders (I’m class of ’84), although I should bite my tongue and shut my mouth before I jinks us into a normal Red Faiders slide.

But for now, we have not been this good since Steve Sloan and Bill Parcells were coaching there.

Those stinking shortwhores from little t. little u. will probably end our fun next Saturday.

Whats the best way to play FSLR earnings? I think it could move 50 pts on the report.

If you have the option account that allows it, you can do some option trading. FSLR is at 120.53, we’ll just round to 120 points for simplicity sake. Lets look at the november options. If you have a lot of conviction that 50 points will be the move, you’ll first want to sell all options beyond that 50 point move. This will give you some credit. Sell a $170 call and higher and a $70 put and lower. But be rational about it, don’t sell a call that will get you $15, if you have to pay $10 to sell it, then $10 to cover.
Also, buy a strangle. You want to determine the greatest ROI on the 50 point move. It will probably be 10 to 30 points out of the money.
Lets just say you bought a 135 call and a 105 put, and sold a $70 put and a 170 call.
If the stock goes to 170, you will then sell to close the 135 call, and buy to open the $70 put, and let the stock pull back before you try to close out the other two positions.
You want to size your positions as best you can so you have an equal amount of puts and calls bought and sold, and an equal amount of dollars in each position.

edit: Actually, you probably want to just let your strangle that you sell expire.
