We’re back from an extended weekend getaway in the mountains of Virginia.
My son took this picture Sunday morning. The fishing was decent but the time away from the world was priceless.

A few months back, you asked what “telephonin'” was, but I don’t know if you ever saw my response (reprinted below).
Telephonin’ is an old-codger thing. I’ve never personally done it, but I know it goes on.
You take an old-timey wall telephone and attach wires to the magneto, hang one wire (pos and neg) out each side of the boat, and crank the telephone. It stuns the fish, they float to the top, and you dip-net them.
It is illegal down here. But, there are parts of South Georgia that haven’t seen a game warden in years, and plenty of people depend on catfish to subsidize the groceries.
