The Case Against Obama – Part II: Celebrity

(Note:Um, yeah, this is an actual Obama support poster, although the blog below it is not, I don’t believe, uhm…  think.)

My last post focusesd on associations with the Radical Left, and they go to the question “Who is the REAL Barack?”  Part of this confusion stems from the fact that there is very little discussion about what this guy really stands for.  Much of that is not really his fault, as he’s a good looking youngish man with an excellent speaking voice.  For many who are easily swayed, and who do not pay attention, this is 80% of the game.

The fact that the media has gone insane — to a degree that eclipses even the man-love for Bill Clinton in his pre-Monica hey day — does not help matters for helping the voters get a grasp on what Obama stands for.   Of course, he’s also somewhat to blame with regard to some of his recent hard tacks to the right on the War (oops! I guess the Surge did work) and energy issues like drilling.    Still, I hope we are able to discuss his views a little bit more realistically in the coming months, and I beleive the debates will help that process.

In the meantime, here’s a funny clip from the Jon Stewart’s Daily Show, who’s finally gotten around to poking some harmless fun at the Messianic aspects of the Obama campaign.    I figured this had to happen eventually, btw, as there was (as you will see) too much “comedy gold” to be mined over some of the over-the-top superficial aspects of the process thus far.  Enjoy (for as long as the vid remains viable):

Ya, better go easy on Employee8 or he may start crying. Maybe the makers of Kleenex will be a good trade around November since we know the Dems propensity for tears.

That’s not an officially-sanctioned Obama poster. An independent artist produced it.

I can’t tell if the artist’s intention was to create art in support of the candidate or to create fear of the candidate by insinuating his followers are brainwashed cult members.

Either way, it is still a first amendment right, last I checked. Wait. Maybe not. I believe the Patriot Act did away with that right.

    Employee8:

KMB is 61.98, No doubt it should be par by November. Let me know your thoughts when you start working 70 hours a week to try to make a good living for your family and then the DemTards (Hey that’s a new word thank you) come along and want to take your hard earned money and give it to a bunch of lazy fucks. Try and buy a CLU (17.82) if you can afford it. By the way, I am no Bush Fanboy.

I certainly expect a witty retort and then lets call it a truce since I would rather talk about stocks and I do like your financial posts.

70 hours … been there done that …. that’s why I have a different perspective ahole …. after you’ve paid your dues you’ll rethink the whole process. You think there’s any difference between taxing to finance projects vs running up huge deficits from a phony war that only enriches defense contractors …. it’s just the age old question of guns or butter my friend. Unless the military threat is against my nation I prefer to use my tax money to rebuild this nations infrastructure rather than Iran’s …. someday you too will see the light if you aren’t blinded by the bling wheels on your BMW fag.

The reason you have to work 70 hours is cuz you’re underpaid due to hidden inflation from national debt ironically rung up by republican presidents … I find it interesting how guys like you and Jake like to blame the dems for tax and spending but in truth Bush & Reagan are responsible for the biggest deficit spending in history …

Here’s another hint: Only the hardes and stupidest Lefties still speak ill of Reagan, the guy who saved the Republic (even with a Dem Congress that increased the deficits). Try to hide your biases a little better next time.

Recusancy, why do I have to keep telling leftoids to do your research?

Because you are lazy as a group, I fear, which makes you prime targets for hucksters like Obama.

Ayers was a seventies era bomber-murderer-conspiricist and still on the lam well into the mid to late seventies.

Who gives a damn when Obama was born (1962), by the way? What’s that got to do with shit? Do you guys even examine the dim witted answers handed to you by the Obama campaign before re-droning them in public?

Try to think for yourself: If I were born after a Klansman blew up MLK’s church in the early sixties but then, thirty years later, I used that same Grand Dragon’s living room and his political alliances to launch my own political career, would I get a pass from you?

My point is, you have nothing, so you’re going at Obama with Rush Limbaugh nut job talking points. Bill Ayers has nothing to do with Obama. They live in the same city and probably have been in the same area at one time or another. If Bill’s a criminal arrest him. Otherwise, he’s a citizen like everyone else.

That fact that you can’t argue on the merits (ie. what they have done and what they plan to do) speaks loud and clear.

I know you’ll say he’ll raise taxes, tax and spend, blah blah blah… Ya, he may raise your taxes, being that you’re probably well off. If you make less then $150,000/year your taxes will decrease.

Oh, and he was born in ’61

Think for myself? You mean think what you think. Not for myself. I’m sure it’s great having your head in your ass and all but I’m happy with where things stand. And I’m happy with where we will be.

So keep trying to attack using your stupid anecdotes and Rush Limbaugh talking points. Your only making your side look more and more like the side without ideas.

Okay Recused, you tell me what Obama has done. Besides argue for abortion rights to the point of quashing a live birth bill that would have protected “accidentally” born abortion attempts.

In the meantime, you bet your ass I’m going to continue to hammer this farthest left wing member of Congress (yes, his record trumps even that of socialist Bernie Sanders) for trying to hide what he is, and where he’s been. Fact is, he’s a very far left non-mainstream Democrat politician trying to obfuscate his way through to the Oval Office using his charm, good looks, and attractive family.

Sorry, I’m all for nice photo-ops, but I give a crap about what government has already done to this country, and am certainly alarmed at how much worse it will become under the socialist direction that Barack Obama intends to take it.

If you believe all that will happen is that “Everyone making under $150,000 is going to get a tax cut” and somehow health care will be paid for free, Socialist Security mended, the Medicare deficits disappear, and the American economy will magically break out in song, you are rationally challenged, and yes, perhaps even demented.

So can your silly “Rush Limbaugh Talking points” (is that a Leftoid talking points since you repeated it twice?) and get yourself informed in economics and history before coming around here whining again.

Sorry your boy is a commie cypher, choose less superficially next time.

Recusancy, no need for red herrings. Lets just cut to the facts.

    Obama’s Bill Ayers problem
    “Memory is a motherf*cker.”

That’s the opening line of Bill Ayers’ 2001 book, Fugitive Days, about his execrable days as a Weather Underground terrorist. Now a (gasp!) tenured education professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago, he’s a campaign issue for Barack Obama.

Ayers, along with his fellow former Weather Underground terrorist wife, Bernardine Dohrn, are among the two most despicable people in living in America. And Obama served on a board with him. That will play well in rural Ohio–for John McCain.

While the Arizona senator was being tortured by his North Vietnamese captors, Ayers was openly cheering for a Communist victory over our troops.

In 1969, four years before McCain was set free by the NVA, Ayers and the Weather Underground brought the terroristic “Days of Rage” to Chicago.

Three years before McCain’s release from captivity, future education professor Ayers exclaimed, “Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at.”

One year before McCain achieved freedom, Ayers participated in a bombing of the Pentaton. Of that day, Ayers wrote:

Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon.

The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was coming to them.

If there isn’t a viral video out there about all of this, it’s only because someone is making it now.

Jump ahead to 2000…In addition to his professoship, Ayers is The Woods Fund board chairman, and a young state senator, who like Ayers is living in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood, is a fellow board member–that person of course is Barack Obama. Why any organization would have Ayers serving on their board (he’s not chairman any more, but Ayers is still on The Woods Fund board), is astonishing to me and any other person with common sense. And who’d want to serve with him? That year, Ayers and Obama (who should’ve abstained) voted to invest $1 million in Woods Fund money into a firm run by a former boss of the then-state senator, Allison Davis. In a different business venture, Davis partnered with Tony Rezko.

In 2001, Ayers gave a small donation to Obama’s campaign fund, $200.

That same year, ironically in comments published on September 11, 2001, Ayers had this to say about his bombing past, “I don’t regret setting bombs, I feel we didn’t do enough.”

Later on that tragic day, John McCain tells the world on CNN that the attacks the day were “an act of war.” That evening, members of Congress sing “God Bless America” on the steps of the US Capitol.

    The next day, McCain wrote:

We will prevail. We will prevail because the foundations of our greatness cannot be vanquished. Our respect for Man’s God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness assures us of victory even as it has made us a target for the unjust enemies of freedom who have mistaken hate and depravity for power. The losses we have suffered are grave, and will never be forgotten. But we should take pride and unyielding resolve from the knowledge that we were attacked because we are good.

    It’ll be a real motherf*cker of a YouTube video.

According to Ayers’ blog, he’ll taking part in the finals of the Louder Than a Bomb Youth Poetry Slam in Chicago on March 9.

Well, he is an expert on bombs.

Do you mean the staging at Invesco that looked like the Rose Garden or the White House, which early reports described as a greek temple? Was not the use of the greek temple descriptive intended to stir feelings of “false religion,” “mythology,” and “failed empires?”

Why not describe the staging as silmilar to any number of Greek Revival buildings in DC and across the US?

American essayist Gore Vidal says that despite the US claim that it is making the world safer by perpetuating democracy, the country never had any democracy.

    http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=67866&sectionid=3510203

In an exclusive interview with Press Tv correspondent, Vidal said that the United States has never had democracy and the word never was used in the US constitution, Bill of Rights or the Declaration of Independence.

Vidal also said that America has fallen into the hands of a small group of people that only care about global dominance and making money from US tax payers by waging wars.

The renowned essayist made the analogy that the democratic national convention in Denver is symbolic of a falling empire and observed that the hyper expensive entertainment-based campaigns and the current state of the US as being overextended in multiple wars and no budget surplus to finance them, all bode ill for that nation’s future.

Vidal noted that despite Obama’s promise to deliver universal health care, the health industry would oppose his plan and insure he will not be able to deliver on his stated goal.

When asked about US policy toward Iran by the rival candidates, Vidal responded that McCain is a warmonger that will likely wage war on Iran.

    http://rawstory.com/news/2008/McCain_ad_questioned_as_word_HANG_0828.html

A McCain ad aired on Fox News channel with the words “HANG” in the background along with a photograph of Barack Obama has sparked outrage after being noticed by a reporter at a local Fox television affiliate.

The words “HIGHER TAXES” are transposed on an image of Obama standing in front of a crowd. The background is blurred at the edges so that the words from Obama’s signature theme — change — has been cut down to the word “HANG.” The shot appears for about a second. You can watch the ad in its entirety below.

Gore Vidal has a history of elitist nutbaggery stretching out all the way to when he was mocked by Thomas Wolfe for being a “Radical Chic” starry eyed fanboy. He hasn’t even lived in this country for about four decades. That’s a long time on the road.

That said, his historical novels are very enjoyable. I recommend “Burr” and “Lincoln” in particular.

    Some Recusancy Rebuttals:

First, it’s good to know that you’re too much of a coward to answer a simple question. Your refusal to respond to a similar question regarding another kind of American terrorist speaks volumes.

    As for the rest:

That’s good to hear that you’re alarmed at what government has done in this country. It’s been run by Republicans. Time for a change maybe?

Definitely, I think it’s time to get Pelosi and her 9% approval rating Congress the hell out of there. In two years, she’s already begun laying waste to the economy, and her refusal to confirm the tax cuts that saved the economy in 2003, as well as her hying to Far Left Envirwhackjobs with regard to drilling have shown that she is an uncompromising slave to her Left Elite masters. Now she wants to do another “free money” cheque to the masses to obfuscate her mishandling. Time for a change indeed.

And speaking of talking points… Leftoid? What ever happened to libtard? You guys don’t use that anymore. And I use Rush because that’s the house that you worship in on the weekdays.

Get a clue asshat, Rush is on during the day, which is the time I’m working to support unemployed cheese linemates like you. Refuting your stupidity is relatively easy, and requires little research on my part.

McCain thinks women are stupid? That’s why he chose to put one literally a heartbeat away from the Presidency?

Meanwhile, Obama refused to even consider Hillary, due to his gigantic ego? And who is disrespecting his female base here?

Ottnott/McCarthy — Yes, it’s very obvious to me. There’s absolutely no question those people were hired by Karl Rove (and his graphic designer) to sit perfectly in that position so the word “Hang” — intentionally blackened to just the right degree of course — would be visible to nutjob leftist paranoids for half a second.

Because, everyone knows how popular it is in America today to hang nice innocent black men, right? What a strategically eeeegggsellent message, Smithers!

The change candidate selects a dinosaur with 35 years of senate experience as his running mate, while the “more of the same” candidate chooses a young vibrant female reformer. How ironic.

This week will be interesting. I expect more surprises from McCain. Maybe he’ll announce at the convention who his Secrtary of State would be to quiet concerns about Palin’s lack of foreign policy experience. Or maybe he’ll announce a spot on his cabinet for Lieberman to garner “Reagan Democrat” votes? Or a spot for Romney to address his perceived lack of weakness about economic issues.

    Things are getting interesting.

Jake, you seem to have changed your tune on Ron P. since your previous assertions – ‘nutball’, ‘whack-job’, ‘commie’ … ?

Bruce, don’t drink so early in the day.

I’m not fearful that Sarah will inherit the presidency, besides:

    1) after looking at her bio I am starting to like this pick

    2) maybe she will steal some of those upset Hilary supporters from Obama

    3) she’s hot and knows how to bait a hook

    4) she has more experience than Obama & Biden combined

    5) at least she doesn’t wear pantsuits

    6) besides, can’t wait to see “Sarah Barracuda” take on Putin

    7) she likes hockey, I like hockey too!

8.) she started her political career as head of the local PTA and was a TV sports announcer too

    9) how can Biden attack her in a debate and look like the winner

    10) drill, drill, drill!!!

    11) her husband Todd is part native Eskimo who works in the oil fields for BP in addition to his fishing business, and is also a four time champion snowmobiler known in Alaska as the “First Dude” of the Tesoro Iron Dog race

    12) she’s a lifetime NRA member and likes to hunt moose

    13) she hails from tiny Wasilla and was crowned Miss Wasilla — and Miss Congeniality — and went on to compete in the Miss Alaska contest, where she came in second.

    14) I like saying Wasilla. WASILLA!!!

    15) last fall she raised taxes on oil company profits, hmmm

    16) a legislative panel launched a $100,000 investigation to determine whether Palin abused her influence by attempting to get her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper

    17) she has tried pot. “I can’t claim a Bill Clinton and say that I never inhaled,” she said during the 2006 gubernatorial race

There’s a fine line between clever and stupid!

Lets hope that she in fact does not like cake.

How do we find the person, who once in office is uncorruptable.

How do we find he/she who would fight for America and her people.

I have to tell you, I am sitting this one out. No longer will I vote for the lesser of two evils. It’s the saddest thing, not voting.

On all the Gold Reports of the web, they are ringing the bells of armaghedon and the end of the fiat dollar is breathing down upon us.

In every site that I read on, it is agreed that “something wicked this way comes”…

    That Russia is threatining WWIII.

That banks are going to fail in scary big numbers.

And that the USA is hopelessly bankrupt and it doesn’t matter who we put in office because that big white house on the hill is mortgaged up the ying yang to Japan.

I mean forget about Dem vs Rep and just tell us who can fix this mess. I’ll gladly vote for him/her, and put the abortion issue back on the back burner, where mothers and grandmothers can deal with such things as has always been the better way.

Both candidates support large government including the federal government stepping beyond the parameters established in the Constitution (despite Obama being a professor of Constitutional law), and therefore I dislike both men (a neo-con and a socialist). However, McCain graduated 894th out of 899th at the Naval Academy. The only reason he was accepted to Annapolis was because both his father and grandfather were Naval admirals. Take a look at his bumbling answer regarding his academic performance here, in addition to his nonexistent ability to operate one of the primary educational tools of the 21st century:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srbX26vp57c

Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard. Does this mean he is qualified to lead America? No, however it is one of many small arguments that have and continue to sway my vote towards Obama. It appears that McCain is as prepared for the issues of the 21st century as the CIA was pre-9/11.

Lot of smart socialists out there.

I’m not convinced Obama is one of them. Let’s see how he does in the debates. Hillary kicked his ass in the Democrat ones where they could all kumbaya about the same bullshit big gov’t programs how George Bush was Satan.

Hillary’s a good debater? No, she sucks, too.

Meanwhile Obama is prone to the brain fart in public without his handy teleprompter. I guess if you take enough sociology and anthropology classes at Harvard and stay away from science and economics, you too can graduate magna cum laude. I’ve seen it done, and I’m not impressed.

If you wanted smart, you should have voted for Romney the Baker scholar, joint Harvard JD/MBA like I did. In the meantime “programmed” and “socialist” are not too adjectives I like to see in my candidates. At least Bill Clinton could think on his feet.

Look at this Magna Cum Dumbass:

That’s what we are debating, Recusancy. But how do you know how Obama will do if you don’t inspect where he’s been, both legislatively and politically?

What do you have that’s so great? He’s got no experience, he’s far far left in his legislative experience, and his political connection are as far from mainstream as I’ve ever seen in a sitting U.S. Senator.

And that’s saying a lot. What have you in his defense? He’s good looking and he’s a good speaker.

Sorry, that’s just not enough for a thinking individual.

I checked it, it was magna at Harvard Law School (he was at both Occidental College and Columbia undergrad with “meh” grades), where he seemed to be “the pet” of his professors. He was the only editor of their Law Review in its history without a published work of legal scholarship.

Odd, no? Does anyone get the feeling this clown has been given a pass his entire life?

Except for perhaps by his Geography teacher?

That’s funny …. I voted for Romney too (for Gov of MA) but Jake keeps billing me as a Democrat …. please explain Jake … how could a Democrat in this bastion of liberals known as Massachusetts vote for a Republican, and it wasn’t the first or last time? Apparently everyone that doesn’t agree with your opinions are labeled as Democrats … that’s why I call you a Fascist, cuz you act so far to the right with your pro biz attitude – repubs can do no wrong shit that you are bordering on gov run by and for big business. You call for free trade and seem to despise gov bailouts but I’m beginning to wonder if that isn’t an act. Maybe you relish making a profit privately but support or would even stand in line for a gov bailout if it were your business in trouble and your family depended on a bailout. Time to look in the mirror Jake cuz you can’t support and defend a Republican Party that is open to socialist policies when it comes to business but slow to act when it comes to helping the country’s people. There’s something cold and disingenuous there …. odd. You may be a smart man in business as well as with you tongue but you have a lot to learn.

I call you a Democrat because only dipshit Democrats use terms like “fascist.”

And I also don’t respond to silly ad homenums. You don’t know me and have no basis for making personal insults about my character.

All I know is that I don’t rely on government to solve societal problems. You — even though you are allegedly a “Republican” supporter– apparently think that’s a good idea.

Hint — that’s not how Republicans think. In fact, we think that’s the worst possible idea.

I’m sorry I interrupted. Please, continue fucking that goat.

everyone uses the term “fascist” to piss off conservative repubs that have their head up the govs ass Jake. If gov isn’t there to help it’s own people during the worst of times as in NOLA then what do we need them for other than to prevent anarchy. We should be content with a gov’t that snubs it’s own but bails out wallstreet and rebuilds Iran …. I’m sorry but that’s not level headed thinking by any intellect of either party.

You may continue to suck on Bush’s penis or McCain’s since it doesn’t matter to you who you service as long as they are “Republican”

BTW, Employee8 is an old sports blog name I used as a reference to a Boston athlete that when asked by the local media what he thought management should do to improve the team, replied that he was just an employee, “employee #8” , and the media should consult the owners/mgmt. I thought it was funny that a pro athlete would refer to himself as just an employee and found it quite ironic these days. Hence I felt it would be ironic to use it here where “IBankCoin” is the theme of the day and it’s readers are surely capitalists and its’ founder goes by the name Fly. Not to mention that 8 is my lucky number and revered in China as such so much so that the olympics started at 8pm on 8/8/08, odd no? So sue me!
