One is Silver Wheaton Corp. (USA) [[SLW]] — big surprise, no? Well, what is really going to surprise you is that shareholders of SLW will now have to submit to a plenary mandatory tattoo. No fear ladies, there’s a very small and “chi-chi” version, only one centimeter in height, with a sublimating daisy.
It won’t hurt a bit I promise.
For the men, there’s the flaming skull motif, but that shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes. Man up, this stock is worth it.
Addenda: Docteur Le Fly, le Monsieur, is calling for the end of the world. Act appropriately. Offer him Caymus Reserve if he begins getting agitated. That is all.

Being on the ground in Bowling Green I will say that most will have no idea on how to handle the mans agenda.. Rand is a force, not an enabler. Anytime a 23 point blowout occurs in a political race it attracts a lot of attention. Its just the start for that man. Interesting that Rove is coming to town tomorrow.

Check that… there’s a smaller gap (on the 15 mn chart) at 18.45. Could get a bounce there as well.

I haven’t sold a thing. Take a look at the longer term charts. If you feel uncomfortable, sell a little bit.

SLW — filled that second gap and then some (to 18.08) now seeming to be holding at the base of that second gap (@ 18.45). Currently 18.64, but if it can retest that second gap base, that might be a nice place to pick some up.
Give it time, however.

anyway, question. Anyone else having trouble with FRG in their Ameritrade account? Doesn’t show up, doesn’t update, doesn’t do jack. I called and they said FRG is changing it’s name (to a corporation, i think?) But haven’t been able to touch it since last week because it’s been N/A. They also said i couldn’t sell the stock (even if it went down to $0) until they receive their share certificates of the new name. Sound like BS to anyone else? Or is this SOP?

Etrade shows a new cusip # with new corp name = GOLD INC (no symbol yet)
I can still trade it in Fidelity, too.
The report I pulled up said the new name will be Fronteer Gold Inc, and that is what the ticker pulls up in Fidelity.
Are any of you buying more of it here, or planning on? I wanted to, but chickened out. I did buy more CGC, though.

Definitely support for GLD here. I might go long bullion here. The 20-day moving average, trendline and 38% Fib (March low to recent high) all support gold price at the moment. And it’s a clear exit if the trade fails. Miners might consolidate a bit further, though, and SLV is looking much weaker than gold.
Jake …. any negative thoughts regarding the island top on 5/12 for ANV or does the fact that it was a one day phenomenon negate that?
The fact that it was due to a massive equity raise (over $250 mm) negates it, I think. Take a look back at January 11th. Similar exercise, in miniature. This time I think the 50 day EMA holds ($17.30), however.
I should have waited to add that extra 2k last week, but what can I say, I’m impulsive.

Jake, are you expecting a full parabolic move up in gold such as the tech bubble?
Have you used the ’70s run as reference? we are in around ’77, ’78?
Also do you think gold and miners will coil or slow down for the summer?

Eventually yes. And I think we come to a head on this bull in the 2012-2014 area. You’ll know because we’ll be spiking like earl did in 2008.
What gold and miners do will depend on whether we can hold the higher lows, here.

Watch whom you’re looking to “hurry up” noodle brains.
Your correlation is interesting, whereas a short of oil at that $147 peak and a purchase of silver would have brought you 5x your money in about six months back in Sept 2008 to March 2009.
