New longs: FRG (3.48)
My shorts from last week are sizzling. Chinese and commodity shorts are on fire… YGE, CSIQ, DRYS, CMED (phew, dumb stock). Therefore, I had to go long something so I bought some FRiGn (that’s my codename for FRG). Warning! I’m expecting to LOSE on this trade. Enjoy the friggin burn.

I was long WMT and V calls from yesterday, out this morning for a buck fifty–, short CCL—boo-yah–ditched AGU yesterday-+ 10 cent-just in time. SHORT ATI from $43–hit $33 today–Long XLE was stopped out opening bell–going long OMG if I can get 25 entry
Gio — any comment on this “odd, no?” $VIX triangulation — a meeting of the long term downtrend and uptrend (already broken) lines?

From your experience, will a new addition to the Russell 3000 affect a stock like ANCI enough to warrent a longer term holding? I was stopped out this AM for a decent gain, but now considering rebuying todays pullback. ANCI goes on the R3000 Friday. Hope you enjoyed Magic Mountain. My rollercoaster today was my Huntsman Corp(HUN) holding, serious whiplash!
Under normal conditions, the simple answer is “yes, ANCI would be a good long term investment.” However, the market is in very dangerous territory, so I’m ready for this stupid stock to go red on me. I was in it for a relief rally, that is all. I wanted anything over 10% territory, but I figure even if this stock falls a bit, it’s worth holding just in case we get another crazy relief rally.
hey Jake. it’s very difficult to measure the VIX in traditional “trend-lines.” But I do think it has gotten way to low in too fast of a time. It should and will trend back up… it’s sort of lagging the feelings of the market, but I’m sure it will catch up.
i haven’t checked in here for awhile. i still like the classic wooden coaster for the feel.
of course, i haven’t gone to Magic Mountain since the late 80’s

There is a steep south showing up on the coast. Try surfing malibu… lots of close friends but if you get a ride or two it is worth it.
