The SPX is on the verge of breaking out, and it must break the June peak and close above it. The continuation gap from last week is doing what the textbook says. I don’t really care what the market does since I find plays that move up regardless of market direction. However, I do believe a pullback coming as it is necessary and healthy for the rally to continue.
Evey sector is either bullish or neutral:

ESLR 2.20
Out of HEB @ 2.72, LVLT @ 1.63
Still holding ANPI, MVIS
time to short AAPL IMHO. The stock has recently run from 135 to 155, and is currently consolidating in its normal fashion. The reason I believe it is time to short is that I highly doubt they have a stellar earnings report. I am shorting anywhere above 153, with a target of 147.
Should have held onto HEB – looks like it’s ready to blow (again)!!
sold PRGX 3.24
Holy HEB batman!
Back in HEB $2.79
you sure know how to milk the daylights out of these high fliers
Found CA’s Twitter chart on STAR from last Thursday and looks like it is hitting the April trendline today. In at 25.46.

Schwab is nice… decent platform that you download. I trade super actively, i went to them and asked them for a better commission rate, and i got $6.95 for all trades including direct access. Normal commission rate is 12.95
do they have an iphone app? Thats what I use etrade for.
not sure, bc i dont have an iphone…. but i trade and get realtime access on my sprint phone wih no problem.
TASR high and tight pennant on the daily
You will notice that many breakout plays follow the same pattern:
1) Initial breakout
2) followed by consolidation
3) followed by a secondary breakout
For the secondary breakout, set a buy limit 1 cent above the day’s high.
Looks like UNTD is consolidating nicely and ready for secondary breakout, thoughts?
I dont get how you set the buy 1 cent above the days high? you mean after the close on the secondary breakout, then you set your buy limit? can you explain a bit more, thanks!
I think he is talking about putting in a Stop Order.
Definition from my online brokers site:
Stop order – Requires only a Stop Price. A Stop order becomes a market order when:
For buy orders (stop buy order), the price of the stock rises to or above the stop price.
MLNK possible B/O candidate.

taking a flyer on JDAS, 21.04 with a tight stop.
haaaaaaaahahahaahaha…what a shock..CA leaves and all the sheep are crippled….too funny.
You talkin’ ’bout me?
I noticed that people kinda just ‘stopped trading’, after I left.
Makes me wonder how many people actually trade independently without the need for my help.
Swing short The Google at $426.05
Call me crazy but I’m in 1/2 positions of FXP and BGZ into the close, hedged with full ones of LVLT and AGQ. Sure seems like the bears had a chance to do their damage. 75% cash, keeping it pretty lean and banking gains – the risk reward thingy even though I really want to be with the bulls.
AGEN 1.81, sold half JDAS 22.30
Covered rest of CHINA @ 2.19
CA – what’s your strategy on playing companies that report strong earnings after the close? Example tonight is OFG, which is up 15%+ after the close. Do you wait for a secondary breakout move?
I don’t usually play earnings (only occasionally). The first 30 mins will determine whether or not a move will be sustained or if it will fade in the opposite direction.
what do you think about AVNR???
can’t speak for CA, but that’s the most ruler-straight trendline i’ve seen since POT back in ’07
Needs a few days to develop. Could be a bull and bear flag right now.
Hey CA – just looking at your FRT chart that you posted yesterday- what r the tells between a multi-month pennant and a descending triangle? thanks in advance.
Desc tri’s have a clearly defined floor. Both of FRT’s upper and lower segments are descending.
The variations of SPX are very unnatural. I am really amazed.
