I got back from LA about 45 mins ago. The 1st coaching session went very well.
The SPX appears to be in a short-term topping pattern. Don’t forget that the June resistance became the strongest resistance for the entire duration of this rally. It is not to be ignored. The normal and expected course of action would be a pullbackĀ to the 50-day MA.

Whoa – outstanding! Never got in it, hope some of you banked majestically. I had written it off based on my medical education (still seems like too low an improvement over placebo to me) so I got in my own way, so it goes. Some of my serious watch list items today include: AMED, CONN, PRSP, TXI, WRLD (nasty), and TLB.
Hope anybody who followed me into CHINA short covered also… management is pumping this stock bigtime, just raised revenue guidance. Stock is popping from the close.

I’ve been watching this one. If it can pick up more volume then it could fill the gap and close higher but it is maybe more likely it consolidates at 4.00 before pushing up again. On the intra-day though the flat-lining does look like it could pop. Either a day trade today or buy in a couple of days on consolidation.

Sometimes. It all depends on the momentum. I will use larger positions if a stock has incredible volume supporting an advance.

The usual incredible thanks to CA and the iBC crew for the bounty in HEB and others. The hunt for the short squeeze theme is working out, but I’m missing some of the juicy ones due to my inability to stay focused on the market. The skanky biz of CCRT was one of hotties for yesterday. Still favoring ALGT but sold yesterday to raise cash, holding INT, TXI for the squeeze potential. ADS, CCRT, WRLD, OZRK, DRL still with room to go I’d think, TLB is still lurking.
Looking at XLF (I look at all the market ETF’s now at the start of my screening) I’m thinking it’s time again for the financials if the overall market is up, and SPX does look primed;. Other financials that are interesting and B/O candidates: PCBC, CBU, HNBC, and thin ones for the gutsy; BTFG, GRNB, WTBA, EBTX, CBU.
