More SETUPS below (p.s. don’t forget about the ones yesterday, some stocks need more time to make a move than the others). My parameters were stocks $3-10 with 500K+ volume:

I have not subscribed to stockcharts.com yet (trying to keep my over-head low). Do you know of a free web site that allows you to draw/add the blank box OR just a free web site that I can print out the 60 minute-1 month chart and I’ll draw the box myself? No joke … Thanks for all you do, CA!!

What does “Trading in the box” teach when your security rises outside the boxed level? Does this show even more strength, or does it say that a stock is heating up too fast?

If you mean just in general, then two things:
1) Pay special attention because a breakout/breakdown may be imminent.
2) Watch out for any fakeouts or moves back into the box.

Perhaps my boxing method isn’t perfected, but the question of price rising out of a correct box remains. Part of the purpose of the box, it seems, is to set an upside target, and a place to sell for a profit to avoid greedily holding it too long
