The cryptocurrency known as Bitcoin has topped $2,000 today, making many many nerds with supercomputers rich. I have a lot of history with bitcoin and use to trade it often. I sold every last one around $1300 and missed the latest leg higher.
The coin really is easy to purchase and can be useful for many people around the world. In my dealings, I’ve found coinbase.com to be one of the safest place to buy bitcoins. Also, BitcoinWisdom.com has some great charts of the cryptocurrency for those interested. But, I don’t advise buying up here.
One fellow on Twitter asked me where does bitcoin go from here? $4,000 or $500? I told him I wish I knew. It either trades to something crazy like $8,000, and dies from there, or maybe it starts to trade in a range, similar to gold.

Impressive day today after the shakeout we had on Wednesday. You can almost feel the panic buying in the air today. We are not out of the woods yet, but it is a good start to see $SPX back over the 50 day moving average. It’s also good to see oil back over $50.
As for today’s runner screen, it can be found HERE. Some oil plays worth watching from today’s screen include: WLL, OAS, SN, SM, BTE, FRAC, & CRZO . I also like $X, $CF, & BITA here.

For one, the media is working super overdrive on Trump, but we what else is new. He won’t be impeached though, it’s just another whichhunt by the media and Democrats. If he can get through grouping women with a little pussy grab, surely he can get through this, no?

Check out the title of my last post. Twitter & FireEye trending higher? For anyone trading in 2015-16, you know the agony associated with the two names. That headline deserved to trigger a market sell-off, no?
Things are not all that bad though. Indeed, the Chinese lotto is still in full swing with today’s winner being $CYOU. That daily chart is a thing of beauty. Or, how about my stock of the year, $NTDOY? Bulletproof.
Then there’s the Trump tickers, like letter $X. I’m underwater in my recent position from $21, but I can’t help but think this is a buy sub $20. Same goes for $CLF, I’m tempted. It was all good just a day ago, no? This too shall pass.
Summary: It’s not all that scary out there; just peak insanity from Washington DC.
