Apple Launching New App Called “TV”

In Apple’s live event today, the company announced a new app which will be called “TV”. The company claims this will change the way you watch TV on your Apple TV, iPhone, & iPad. There will be full integration with Apps to make TV more interactive.

The company used Twitter to show some examples of how smart apps will interact with live events and other programming:

Software updates for Apple TV will be available in December of this year.

Hello Again: Apple’s October 2016 Mac event

Apple is hosting another live event today, where the company plans to announce updates to their Mac lineup. This will be the first mention of Mac hardware since March 2015. The Macbook Pro is expected to be the biggest announcement as the company has already leaked some details.

Twitter Shuts Down Video-Sharing Service Vine

Twitter is shutting down video-sharing service Vine “in the coming months,” the company annouced Thursday. Twitter acquired Vine, which lets you share short video clips, in 2012 before the service had even launched. It debuted in 2013.

This comes the same day Twitter said it would lay off more than 300 workers (or 9% of the company’s global workforce) within the company’s sales, partnerships, and marketing teams.

“Nothing is happening to the apps, website or your Vines today,” Twitter said in a release, noting that users will be given a heads up and be able to download their Vines before the website and app shutter for good. SOURCE

It’s a sad day for Vine, but lets face it, nobody uses it anymore. Props to Twitter for getting more focused. Here are some of the classic vines:

Technical Update: A Look At The Indices

The Russell 2000 is sitting right on an important level here at 1200. Should we break underneath, the next target is likely the 200 day MA:

The NASDAQ Composite index is also trading below the 50 day moving average here, with a lot of free air underneath:
