AIG…hmmm…okay, I see a declining wedge, reversal pattern thingy going on here, but not much else to get excited about fundamentally. What’s the story here?

@husaria Q: how many times a week does a polish piker kiss OA’s ass? …..I don’t believe OA has an issue with being questioned or challenged. The test of a good thesis is that it is difficult to disprove or disagree with.
I can see playing the calls on AIG in front of earnings. It’s probably a $69-$70 stock, but that’s based on forward earnings estimates for the next 12 months. Sales, margins and ROE are mediocre imo. There are better insurance cos/financials out there, but maybe not with the kind of setup you’re looking for(?).

Options expiration is a forced time frame. If you trade options, that is.
I get that part. I would imagine you have already formulated your plan based on your analysis of the stock chart and decided on an expiration that fits that plan. The only times I’ve held to expiration was when I was so underwater on that issue, there was no point in selling for pennies.
When my stocks trend, I usually buy the amount of time it will take to trend off a reversal pattern. That’s odd you only find yourself holding for pennies at expiration. Maybe you sell winners too soon and hold losses too long?
I’m more guilty of the latter than the former. I’m too patient. With the accelerated decay into expiration, it creates a bad situation.

Ha good one! It was down over a buck in a hurry this morning. Didn’t see any news to warrant that. Of course I own “the one” stock down on and up day. lol
Re-added MRO, APA, CHK Jun ITM calls. Have a huge amount of Jun ATM XOP calls and some GLD Sept 117 puts, XBI May calls.
Anybody notice that the narrative changed this week? The narrative is now “buying into a market that keeps going up.”
