OA, regarding KMI, I know you went in for earnings and didn’t care if you didn’t get a bump, but other than the Trans Mountain Pipeline, what else or other of their areas do you see giving this stock a nice boost? In July calls and wondering whether to ride them out or double down here at 1/2 off my buy. Thanks.
Catalyst?
Correct catalyst – I know they have multiple segments in their business but don’t see any standouts other than the pipeline. What type of news will make them pop? Earnings weren’t bad yet no positive reaction.
Don’t have a catalyst. Just like a stock at support consolidating in front of an open volume profile.
I took a tiny position in SNAP this morning right at 21. I’m not confident enough in it to take a big position, but I think theres a good chance for a rally after their earnings report (date not set yet). I don’t have any real insight other than I don’t think Wall St is giving their management enough credit, and the stock is heavily shorted. Its the first public earnings report, so I’m betting management comes out swinging about monetization plans and overall bullish going forward on growth plans. We shall see.

Thought you may find it funny, but I hope you understood my earlier point that this thing wouldnt have a real lift-off until at least the 1st earnings report (where management instills confidence that they are more FB-like than TWTR-like). This is a pure earnings play and I’m positioned that way.
FB got bludgeoned to new lows after they beat their first earnings report.
Had all the confidence I needed til the talking heads blew the FB shit out of proportion. All the FOMO was there.

Want to argue this again? I never said the stock was going to fall or that it couldnt seing a few points upside (which is all well and good). All I said was that I didnt think the stock was primed to breakout in the time frame that was being portrayed. You got thr call half right, it just didnt follow through.
My only argument is you got it all wrong though. You pitched the argument at the lows as this thing was turning up. Now you’re a buyer.

Purdy, I think ACIA beats their downward guidance. Hoping for a gradual rise into earnings and a pop on earnings new. Wishful thinking and a gamble but this one with good news will pop.
