Welcome Home, Monsieur Le Docteur!

SP w. Bear
_______________________________________

This was quite a weekend for America, non?   First, Monsieur Le Docteur goes bi-Coastal (with an assist from Chuck Bennet no less) and  then the Dog Sledder and the Weeper gather the First Forces of November in the honored grass of the Washington Mall.   Is that a horn sounding a call?

I think such portents give whiff to the aether of foreborn change in the air.  Real change this time, not the kind of People Magazine re-worked hopeless Boomer generation failures we’ve witnessed since Pelosi and Reid took over in 2006.   Nor even the false “change” so reinforced by the JC Penny-ad First Vacationer and his bent dicta.   No, we’re talking a serious colon cleanse for the body politic, ovah heah…

We’re talking throw all the bastids out, and shrink that Gummymint that’s here to help you.   Here’s a song that might capture the moment, in all it’s paradoxical beauty…

[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z_fsdWYXMA 450 300]

God preserve the Union, and each of you in turn.   Most of all, welcome back to stable ground, Monsieur Le Docteur.

Might be moot in 2012 (as I don’t think she’ll be the candidate), but I appreciate your giving your all “Crooklyn-Tammany Style” anyway.

You’d be better served voting for Elder Paul in 2012. The man will be the leader in the coming winter of Strauss Fourth Turning. Palin is going to stick to her book deals. She will be too traumatized after Rand, son of Paul has Palin prostrated on the bear rug praying to Aqua Buddha in Jakes backyard . I suppose its better than prostrating to the false idol of hope and change we have now.

      Oh yes indeed!
Sarah Palin is THE one to restore something or other to this great nation! (we never lost our honor nor dignity, BTW, although the GOP tried valiantly!)

My God! Can you imagine this woman carrying on an intelligent conversation with say, Ben Franklin or Thomas Payne, or Thomas Jefferson?

Don’t it make you want to laugh… or cry????

That’s ridiculous thinking. With Old Geezer and Dog Sledder in:

              1) There wouldn’t have been a second stimulus passed — $900 billion wasted in inefficient government spending that sucks air out of the dynamic private sector.

              2) There would never be Obamacare hanging over the employers of this country and causing them not to employ. That’s another 1+ Trillion in spending and wrecking the most dynamic part of our economy.

Both gigantic stupidities would have been avoided, we’d have had a shallow recession, and we’d be on our way out now, instead of headed into a vortex Depression.

That pic is so sick it’s almost kinky. But that’s her appeal, isn’t it. Yeah, “real” change. Chump change for all the chumps. But hey, they believe in Jesus. The coastals have gone buddhist and they still go for the cult of blood.

Btw, Obama isn’t a boomer. Least you could do is keep the facts straight. I mean, of course, he is a muslim–isn’t he??;)–but he’s not a muslim boomer. Or a boomer muslim.

Let me ask you a serious question Jake; do you really think that if there were a Republican/libertarian win in 2012–or even this november–things would get better for Americans? Would deficit austerity save us, or would it doom us?

I’ll take neo-hippy over neo-fascist any day of the week.

Your choice is a false one.

The fascists are in power rigtht now. Oy vey.

What do fascists do? They consolidate corporate power under a strong central government, preferably one with strong Executive power.

Sound familiar? If not, you are only fooling yourself.

To answer your prior question — Google “The Depression of 1920-21.” Never heard of it? There’s a reason.

The assumption seems to be that Palin and Beck are the most powerful figures in the Republican party, but they’ll gently step aside and support the GOP candidate when it comes to 2012.

            Seems unlikely. Palin-Beck 2012!

The same thing will happen to the Tea Party that happens to every revolutionary movement: once they get into power, they become stale, resistant to change, and boring. You can hope for maybe 18 months of actual effort. It happened up here with the Reform party back in the 90s.

Besides which, the usual “cut taxes and cut spending” rhetoric I haven’t heard too many concrete ideas from the movement. Their “God, guns and country” talk is foreign to my secular ears, but I’d be willing to overlook it had they something solid to offer.

The Tea Party was started by supporters of the Ron Paul view: small gov’t, low taxes, strong currency, respect for the Constitution and individual rights and avoiding foreign entanglements that do not benefit the U.S.

Neocon manipulators have, unfortunately, been fairly successful in moving in and hijacking the movement by throwing the usual red meat to flag-waving bible-thumpers who are drawn to people (e.g. Sarah Palin) who are as dumb as they.

The Tea Party movement has expanded, it includes more people, and it’s not precisely a Ron Paul party movement. So they’re not directly related, but I would say that both have gotten the attention of the American people. Whether it’s the people who go to Tea Parties or the people who go to Ron Pauls rallies, all of us are pretty upset with what we see in Washington.

Exactly right. The true believer nutbags like Perdoo can never form a majority — you ever see how much support the average Losertarian garners? So we have to work with what we can get, which is basically a coalition.

That includes people who think there are some American interests outside the three mile coastal zone.

Much to the chagrin of the Hard Loons.
