Funny how people perceive my 400%+ return as some sort of asshole display of behavior. Listen, it’s only to make sure that you know that I know what I am doing here. The reality is that I double my money about every 2-3 months and I don’t give a damn what you think. I am banking huge coin and hopefully you are too.

I thought about incorporating swing trading more often but then I realized that I make more money day trading with the limited time that I have, a lot more. My principle is to make the most amount of money in the shortest period of time. If that’s not your goal, then you should go somewhere else.
We are heading higher until there is 1) buying exhaustion, or 2) if we get a huge unrecoverable breakaway gap down.

We all appraise source material critically but I suspect most of us see this blog as passing that test. We also appraise carping negative comments critically and I suspect most of us see them as failing that test.
I suspect that moaners haven’t put a lot of effort into learning how to be successful and their whining is a projection of their insecurities and failures. Negativity in all places and spaces often comes from insecurity.
So while you will sometimes need to stand up for yourself (eg MarketSci) don’t feel that you need to all the time. We can see through most of this.
You can’t fight human nature 24/7. There are always going to be X% of people who are jealous and Y% who are disbelieving and so on.

I have a question that you’ve probably answered a dozen times so maybe someone can just give me a link or point me in the right direction….What are the critical software/trading platforms and programs that you use to monitor stocks during the day and make quick buys and sells? How are you so quick to react to the breakouts and movers? I’d love to sit over your shoulder and see your set up and watch you trade for an hour. Any insight into your setup would be much appreciated.
I’ll try to answer for CA, since he’s only repeated himself like 200000 times. CA has a subscription to stock charts, that’s it. Its manual review of charts every day and night. And won’t we all love to sit on his shoulder and read his brain. He said it once, if you can’t master the basics, why trade at all? That’s all he’s done. Master the basics. and master he is.

yeah, Etrade …. CVM kept bouncing between 1.30 & 1.50 …. checking the trade action showed one trade processing every minute or so around 1.47 while the quote was 1.30ish ….. and there were a bunch of those on my screens …. weird.
On the upside I had USG for a huge gain …. like 2.5% on the portfolio even with 75% cash …. Yowser!!!

Can I ask what trading platforms / brokers some of you guys are using? I use OptionsXpress and cannot short under $5.
Also, I’ve been studying some of these sub5 breakout plays and (with stops of course) there seems to be a fairly consistent selloff after the initial pop. Any thoughts?
Are you making more money buying these breakouts or fading them after they roll over and/or break support? For reference, YMI, CVM, CRXX, RAD, BEE, etc have all been good recent examples of this. Thanks.
Interactive Brokers will let you short under $5, generally excellent executions, but when things fuck up, you’ll find their customer service to be somewhere between non-existent and Sopranos style.

Decent platform that is expandable to multiple screens. I can short stocks above $1, sometimes tough to find certain borrows.
If your an active trader you can get nice commission rates… i’m down to 6.95, bc i’m very active. The support is superb! I have an online chat with a live person at my fingers at all times. Never waited more than 3 minutes if i had to call in for service.

the amount of days, based on the average volume of the stock, for the shorts to cover all their shares. the more days to cover, the more severe the short squeeze – that’s the main idea.
it means that if the stock continues to trade at average volume, it would take 30 days for all the short shares to get closed out.

Wish I knew. I’ve not been in the game of microcaps long enough to trust overnight positions.
Do you have any indicators that you find more useful than others? I’m using breakouts of price with confirmation from MACD and sometimes RSI(2). Rarely do I look at volume. Plus I’m looking at percentage gains of initial spikes, initial pullbacks, etc. to get a better ‘feel’.
I’m gonna run some backtests this weekend to see if certain MACD, CCI, etc. parameters tend to outperform others and tend to be consistent from stock to stock.
OUT Remainder RPRX 1.30. Took the money.
Most of my successful trades are based on candle formations, MA S/R , chart patterns with volume confirmation. The volume spikes on the daily kept me watching the short flat base of RPRX for a breakout.
