Let’s Go Redbirds!

With family on both sides of the mighty Mississippi, we have been life-long Cardinals fans. I saw my first major league ball game in Busch Stadium.

We have rally jerseys on and are expecting to win game two.

As for the markets, there is some nice consolidation going on just beneath resistance. This looks bullish to my eye. The real story, and the one which is sure to overwhelm any technical patterns, is whether or not Germany and France can pull a rabbit out of the hat. Save for the Germans, I really have no faith in the Europeans. Therefore, I’m expecting more downside when the world figures out that they’ve left the fate of the entire European economy in the hands of some short guy who wears high heels.

In short, the technicals remain bullish while the fundamentals are bearish.

Woody, I have never been a Cards fan, not since Bob Gibson and Co. beat the red Sox back in the ’67 series, when I was 8 years old and enarmoured with Yaz and Tony C. Then what did I do? Married a Cardinals fan, lol.

haha! I learned to pitch with a Bob Gibson how-to-guide I bought at a garage sale for a dime. I’d sit out on this lump of dirt that happened to be about the shape of a mound and throw balls at a tree I’d wrapped in an old tarp (to avoid scuffing the balls so badly) and practice curveballs.

Around that time in my life, Yaz was my favorite player.

I find it quite funny how he paraded his first wife around during the french presidential campaign then flipped her for Carla Bruni the day after he was voted in. Now he is setting himself up nicely for the 2012 elections by having a bebe just in time.

      Very good orator the man.

Wasn’t sure what the news post where we were discussing income inequality was. I have found some papers that deal with the periphery of what we were talking about, and explore the causes of income inequality and some effects. Here is a sample of 5 I found were quite informative for a variety of reasons.

No thank you. The discussion got me motivated to do some research into this topic and I actually found a good idea for my term paper for my research course. Cheers!
